It was a 2 disc affair with a commentary and some short extras on the 2nd disc, which also featured an impossible menu system. But he did include a chronological version of the film as an easter egg.

Depends on the information. Personally, I found Gotham Uncovered on the Knight BD to be a good, very informative hour long documentary. They didn't overdue it. Ending the Knight will probably be just as good.

Was sorta hoping that it would hold a copy of the Blu-ray/DVD combo packaging on the bottom.
I was really disappointed in the movie, but I still want this. It's just so... wow.

Can anybody tell me if this movie going to have iTunes digital code copy? All I see is that Ultraviolet on the cover. I use iTunes digital copy for my Apple TV.

Holy special packaging Batman!!

I'm banking on a steelbook.

The other two were release in steel....twice. So it is a given.

BestBuy won't let us down on this one.

WB doesn't do iTunes digital copies anymore. Only Ultaviolet.

So hopefully there's a place where they slide the regular blu-ray and slip in under the stand.
The picture says it holds 2 discs, and there's only going to be one BD disc

Nolan's last two movies released by WB were three disc sets. I don't see Rises being any different, considering the amount listed as bonus material. All of that is not going to fit on the BD with a film that two hours and forty five minutes.

The listings on Amazon, the press release and news coverage, and even the cover art for the BD Combo and Cowl edition all seem to point to just one BD. It is still early though so I guess we'll see once Warner announces more.
It'll be a 2BD/DVD set. Trust.

Nolan's whole attitude about special features has made me cold towards him somewhat. I and imagine a large number of fans would love to see a more comprehwnsive look at these films yet Nolan holds out like he is the last bastion of honor and sanctity. The Ledger situation really irks me. The man poured countless hours amf nearly his sanity into the Joker and we have nothing of his process. No on set video, pictures, discussions of the filming. Absolutely nothing. Ive heard the argument that Nolan is protecting Ledger somehow. What is he protecting him from? His appreciative adoring fans gaining even more appreciation? I like Nolan's work. In fact his Batman trilogy is one of my favorite trilogies of all time, but Nolan himself and his attitude about certain things seems like he is full of himself and his lofty ideas.

I suppose. The picture of the trilogy set (which Amazon took down I think) also seems to indicate 2 discs for the BD, assuming they're not including a DVD in the trilogy set:

And yet, this set will be way more comprehensive than the Avengers BD. And by a lot.

The only thing I wish Nolan did was a Maximum Movie mode for all of the movies. Seeing what Snyder has done with his, it would be great to see that for the Dark Knight movies, and for Inception

Seeing as how TDK had 2 BDS, I have no doubt TDKR will.
