The Video Dead is the only film of their recent Friday announcement I've seen, but they all seem to be in the same vain for the most part. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, but I know I'll probably enjoy them myself.

That said, They Live, Fun House, and Terror Train are all films I'd recommend if you enjoy H2/H3.
Thanks - and thanks for all the answers.

I love THEY LIVE (more sci-fi than horror though), I have the UK FUNHOUSE and TERROR TRAIN is pre-ordered.

My problem is being too old, not too young. I grew up on 70s horror, really. I did see a lot of horror in the 80s actually but a lot of the titles Scream Factory are announcing must have gone straight-to-video in the UK and maybe that prejudiced me against seeing them.

But, you know, I watched RE-ANIMATOR and PHANTASM and stuff like that.

One film I'd really like to see on Blu is the much-neglected PARENTS, which was directed by Bob Balaban (the interpreter in CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND). That's a terrific, creepy film - and a very well made one too - but I don't see it mentioned much. It should be introduced to a new audience.

I'd love Parents on Blu-ray. I rented it when I was 11 or so and was completely freaked out, having no idea how to reconcile the humor with the horror, and deeply disturbed by the idea of cannabalistic parents! There is (or was) a HD version streaming on Netflix.

I watched Terror Vision and well sadly I am not adding this title to my collection. Too much tongue in cheek. It was ok, just not a keeper for me,

Since SHOUT!/SCREAM! is working with Universal, I sure hope there's the possibility of them releasing the three William Castle Universal films -- I SAW WHAT YOU DID, LET'S KILL UNCLE, and most importantly, THE NIGHT WALKER... perhaps even in a 3-movie director's set, even though I'd purchase them all individually if I had to!

William Castle is my favorite director, and I'd kill to own these 3 films on Blu.

I think The Burning would be a wise choice

Some Castle on Blu-ray would be a very welcome addition to anyone horror enthusiasts' collection. I believe the only Castle titles on the format are "Project X" and "The Spirit is Willing" courtesy of Olive Films. Scream Factory would do wonders with some of his flicks. Great suggestion!

"Cellar Dweller" won't be happening? I don't recall Cliff ever mentioning that, did he say that recently? If that's true, talk about a bummer. That flick seemed like it had Scream Factory written all over it based on the talent behind it alone.

Yeah, those are the only two Castle films on Blu-ray. I still find it odd that his most obscure (PROJECT X) and arguably his worst (THE SPIRIT IS WILLING) films were the first of his on Blu.

I really would love to own the Robert Bloch-penned THE NIGHT WALKER and the Joan Crawford-starring I SAW WHAT YOU DID on beautiful Blu-rays, and I know that SHOUT!/SCREAM! would give them the quality releases they deserve.

LET'S KILL UNCLE (not his best, by far, but still enjoyably strange) would just be icing on the cake for this William Castle nerd.

Default Terrorvision

I grew up at that perfect age of video stores and enjoyed so so much of these titles. TERRORVISION was the movie that taught me what it was to swing with a couple. Pure cheese and gold. I freaked out that it was shown on MGM HD and it looked good. If you watch the trailer on YouTube you can get a sense of the movie a little bit. Scream Factory is making a dream title come true for me. Thanks guys for making this be.

I tried to find the specific post, its pretty recent, but I didn't find it. I LOVE 'Cellar Dweller' so I'm sure I didn't fabricate it. I'll try to find it some more, but he shot down two films at one in the same post. He said 'Fright Night II' wouldn't be happening also.

I can't find it. Lol. I hope I made it up as a way to deal with the fact they may not have it. Anyway, my bad.

Side note, if you're the same Frightener22, why did you stop making videos as frequently?

The original House on Haunted Hill is on a crappy rifftrax bd, if you even want to count that one. That is castle, right?

Yeah, HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, the quintessential Castle film technically is on Blu, but in a terribly cropped 4x3 print, colorized, and only watchable with the picture-in-picture RiffTrax commentary... so it doesn't really count. haha

Yeah, I don't think Cliff has shot that one down. In fact, I can't recall any MGM horror films (from the '80s) that he's counted out. It's pretty much the stuff with WB, Lionsgate, Sony, etc. that have been ruled out.

He did shoot down Fright Night II - but I never really seriously thought Cliff had it, I wish he did though. You cant release what you dont have
I do hope FN2 does resurface at some point..wherever it is or whoever has it.
This is just my own opinion but an announcement of Fright Night II would blow away everything that's been announced as coming out (not just Scream but Twilight Time, Anchor Bay, Code Red) I know a Blu Ray release is highly wanted, and lets just hope one day it will. I was hoping SF would have it because we'd get some top of the line extras on top of a great transfer...guess we can still dream

I remember reading the list of titles Cliff shot down - Cellar Dweller wasn't one of them. I think.

Work has just been crazy the last few months so any energy I have left at the end of each day has just been used to watch more stuff. I hope to shoot more videos in the future though. Thanks for the support!

To the best of my knowledge, I thought the only titles Cliff shot down were "Fright Night Part II", "Rawhead Rex" and "Night of the Demons". I also believe Cliff has shot down "Chopping Mall" in the past since its with Lionsgate. I really hope "Cellar Dweller" is still a possibility.

There are quite a few genre titles that are with Lionsgate and they are just sitting on them

According to Shout Factory's website, "Deadly Blessing" and "The Nest" are scheduled for a January 22, 2013 release date.
