I watched this tonight and thought it was pretty good. Not quite up there with Wes Anderson's best, but still enjoyable. It's current IMdb rating of 8.2 seems a little high though

I really enjoyed it, would easily give it an 8 or 9.

I would probably give it a 7 or 8, but will wait until after my second viewing.

Its a good wes anderson film and seeing as though its only the 2nd Anderson available in region B land its worth getting IMO.

Well I am a huge Wes Anderson fan, so the Moonrise Kingdom HMV exclusive artcards edition is a real treat for me. It arrived today !

Why does Universal still use that awful Blu-ray menu (symbols) ?
It screams cheap.

Great film, Rushmore is still my favourite but this is very highly recommended.

Looking at this thread I suddenly remembered that I'd intended to get the HMV version with the art cards. Bit late for that now I guess

Has anyone bought the new German-release from Leonine? Is it the same as the old UK disc?

It's included in the new Wes Anderson Criterion boxset.

No idea if the BD for this gets a 4K upgrade or only the UHD. Plus don't think the UHD is available standalone, rather only in the boxset.

I get the impression that Leonine often recycle releases, so the new 2025 is Blu Ray is most likely the same as the 2012 one. Both say they are released by Tobis Films, but the discs are listed on Leonine's site so I guess they maybe both have the same parent company or something.

13 € from Rarewaves, I think I'll get it. It's my favorite Wes Anderson, and I only have a digital copy. Should be better than that anyway.

It's upscaled from 2K either way.
