i was at bb in the ps3 section. i heard some little kids talking about these blu dvds (what they called them). they were saying there super hd and thats why it beat hd dvd which was just normal hd. i laughed.
ps the blu ray section is so crowed now that the war is over i wish my bb would take a hint and shrink the hd dvd section.

same here. my whole family is inept technologically. I always knew everything technology related first.

Once I suggested for them to buy BD player. they said DVD is good enough (sure, they never saw BD, except my mom - who was impressed)

I work in a shop in belgium and it's the first time a couple of teen chicks came to me and said: "where are the blu-rays? "

first time i saw a female interested in HD.. even my (girl)-friends don't see the difference between Tekken 3 PS1 and Motorstorm ... "yeah it's a bit sharper ... "

It's funny how fickle some folk are because two years ago my friends were chastising me about how I could like something called a "Blu Ray" and they went on about how HD DVD was going to win because J6P knows what "HD" and "DVD" are.

Two years later, the same people are saying how cool Blu Rays are and think HD DVD is a stupid title. Somehow, "I told you so" just doesn't quite cut it.

I have seen a story shown about 'the downfall of HD DVD and the victory of Blu-ray' in which they show clips from America on the news (has been mentioned over different nights and different channels) but thats great free publicity for Blu-ray here in Australia and educational that Blu-ray won to those who were waiting for one format.

I just got my 40" XBR4 on Saturday and my Mom and Dad came over to check it out. They were in complete awe of Curse of the Black Pearl, hopefully I can get them in on the world of Hi def now that they've seen the difference.
