Is this any good? I'm not generally an anime fan, with Akira being one of the few exceptions, and I didn't really like the Ruroni Kenshin OVA I picked up. Does Ninja Scroll have a wider appeal than most anime?

It's ok, it's really violent and has a bit of sleaze thrown in it, from what I remember (i might be confused with Resurrection though).. kind of like your average 90s anime. The animation is really, really good though.

is it me or the image seems better in dvd version and worst on bluray version?
you can see the comparison... damn, i still prefer DVD version, i have less detail and quality but the colours are original, seems also that DVD cut a little the extremes...

Hope the next come out bluray version could fix the colours, which i doubt it...

^ The Blu-Ray could be the original colours, and the DVD could be boosted.. you never know. Where did you get the comparison from?

I think the blu-ray looks way better. Colours are more lush and the lines look much more solid and stable. I already have the UK steelbook on pre-order but I hope to see more screenshots soon because now I'm excited

I'm also interested in where you got those blu-ray screenshots from.

Do you have any time stamps on the blu-ray screen caps (or at least the time stamp from your dvd)? I have the japanese blu-ray and I would be interested to do a comparison as well...
