Same way I feel. I plan on getting the 3D edition for the extras but, I am strongly considering the 2D as well because I love that slipcover. U&S makes it even more tempting to buy both.

So the Target 3D edition is $27.99? Eeuueww, but it comes in that nice slipcase.

Best Buy's 3D edition will be $19.99 with U&S.

What's the breakdown on retail versions and what is the consensus on the best in terms of content? I don't care about slips. I don't want to read through the thread as I'm spoiler-free on this film and been waiting for it to drop for months.

Content-wise, the 3d edition contains additional hours of bonus content, which is why many here prefer that edition, and I'm getting it as well

Retail-wise in the US, in addition to the regular 2d and 3d editions, there's the Target exclusive for the 3d edition that contains a sample booklet from the official art book.

That's correct. Glad to help!

I would add, though...some people are swayed by the price at Best Buy being $19.99 ($24.99, but $19.99 after the 'upgrade and save' promotion), while Target's seems to be $27.99.

Only exclusive that I know of is the target exclusive with slipbox and art book.There is no USA steelbook that I know of.The preorder at best buys gives you early access to the movie via cinemanow.You pay $14.99 for the digial download.They ask you which version you want to pre order on blu ray.When the blu ray comes out the $14.99 you paid for the digital copy gets applied to the purchase price of the movie.Than you pay the remaining balance.

Just changed my pre-order from the Blu-ray/DVD/DC set to the 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/DC collector's set. Reason: I love the art work alot more then the 2D version. The extras are a bonus.
