Is that 4 sets of 4 lights, meaning 16 total? If so, that's a great deal! That could easily light up 4 different cabinets each with up to 4 shelves!

I think you can get 10 lights for around 70.

I'm just browsing as I work, so I'm not really absorbing everything.
If it's just 1 pack w/4 light strips, you can get it about $5 cheaper on ebay. Much cheaper if you get the "disc" type lights($20). All the sellers appear to be pretty reputable. Just to a search on "dioder".

hey thanks I just getting settled into my new place right now but I will have pics up asap of my "collections". I have always loved the alien series, but after I saw prometheus ( 3 times in the theater ) I have a ne infatuation with the whole series again. I'm hurt from an accident, so I basically read all day these days, and I have decided that I would rather throw some money into some other movie collectibles, not just bd's alone. Statues, busts, and high quality action figures is catching my eye. Don't even get me started about my star wars action figure collection. Thanks for the info btw, I will check those site out.

I just got 2- 18"x18"x 5'6" (rough dims) glass display cases, with 3 shelves each, makes 4 total areas per case to display.I'll pickup today of one of them. I need a light for each of them, them were bought from ikea almost 2 years ago.
but right now its just white plugs covering the hole. I'll get some good pics up and be looking for light options in the meantime. I'll checkout the barlights site mentioned above. I'm really looking forward to adding to my growing collection.

I also have a few vintage phones in my collection, so I'll post pics of those too! Lol. Thanks guy

You bring up a good point: With the shift to online ordering becoming so easy it's bound to happen that an order is going to get lost!

My 3 main collections are: blu-ray, Sideshow statue(and the occasional Bowen et al), and Nascar diecasts.

I can, safely, say through my ordering from, mainly: Amazon(BDs), Sideshow, and RCCA/Lionel I have only had 1 lost package. And that was a BD ordered from Amazon which they, promptly, replaced.
Another close call was just recently when I ordered the Jaws steelbook from AmazonUK. It arrived 10 days late...thankfully! After 8 days I emailed AmazonUK and they totally set my mind at ease, saying give it another week and if it doesn't show we'll send you another at no cost.

So I consider myself extremely fortunate with my online orders! This also includes ebay, as I have ordered quite often. Of course with ebay you have to really be selective on whom you choose to spend your hard earned $$!!!

Again, a great point...and I hope everything works out with your order
I know for Sideshow, they make you sign for everything which can be a pain sometimes, but a justifiable security measure. With 7 statues on order, I'm going to be pretty busy this winter!

Great idea starting this thread! I'll be sure to post more pics of my collection as it arrives and when I get the rest of it set up!

I feel pretty fortunate as well, with all the online ordering I've been doing over the last three years i've only had two packages lost. Personally I blame the carrier more than anything, it's some company called Prestige in the northeast/east coast that Amazon uses along with UPS. they don't need signatures for anything so if you aren't there they just drop it at your door.

which might be ok if I was in a house with a porch, but I'm in an apartment. my building has 12 apts, with one main door for security. they just leave it outside the main door. so anyone driving through the complex could jump out and grab it and run. both lost items were blu-rays and like the poster above, they were from amazon. amazon is the best with customer service IMO. wait a few more days to be sure and we will send you a replacement free.

lets hope nothing worse than that happens.

Did any of you ever have this happen?? With all the stuff we order, it was BOUND to happen.

The tracking number says it has been in the Kearny sorting center since September 21st.

The lady on the phone said I'd hear back from them in one postal delivery day.

I'm comfortable with that. I think this could be a cool experience for us collectors and if this had to happen to anyone with any particular package, I'm glad it happened to me and with this particular delivery so I can use this as a learning tool for this thread

Always a silver lining.

I'll let you guys know how it turns out, but in the mean time, HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?? Please share.
I almost had a Mondo poster get lost in the mail. Tracking says delivered but nothing in my mail. After 3 or 4 days, my poster tube was delivered...I was like, WTH!!!

Awesome! Bats/Storm in March & Ivy in January. That spreads the cost out.
I don't know why I had them all marked down as Nov/Dec releases?

Well let me revise my initial posting to say: Dec(4), Jan(1), March(2) will be busy Sideshow months for me! December especially!

Found me a Sideshow Collectibles Indiana Jones DX05 1/6th scale figure in Japan today. With conversion it only cost me $260!

Also adding to my collectibles collection, my NOW fiancee (as of a week ago ) bought me 1:24 diecast replicas of each Delorean from the Back To The Future films as a b-day gift!

I'd say that with my already purchased Christopher Reeve Superman figure and pre-ordered Avengers Iron Man Mark VII figure, I am well on my way to being a fanatical collector with no place to display them all.

As of right now, all I am missing is a good Jack Sparrow ($340+) and possibly Baby Doll ($170+). Then I'd consider my collection "complete up to date."

Congrats....your life as you know it, is now over! Just kidding!
My wife and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary today. Amazing how time flies.
I sure wish she approved of my 250+ 1:24 NASCAR diecast collection...but she has her shoes and purses...so we have an understanding!

The best advice I can give someone about to get married is:

The 2 C's: Communication & Compromise.

Do well with those two items, and you guys will have a long happy marriage!

What's up everybody! I know that I'm late and all, but I recently became aware of Hot Toys and the amazing build quality of the products! I am a big Batman fan and when I seen the 1989 Keaton version on Sideshow I knew that I had to have it! Unfortunately that product is sold out! So my question is is that I know that I am not guaranteed a product by joining the wait list, but have any of you been on the wait list for this version and had your order fulfilled recently? And the length it took to become available? Thanks Just trying to see if these are still going out to consumers and if there's still a shot at getting one of these instead of going the amazon route where they're listed for $390

Thanks for all of the congrats guys! I do consider myself lucky to have found someone who supports me as I am. Communication between us is an interesting concept since she is Japanese with English as a second language !!! Compromise is something we've never had a problem with though. We've been together for just over 2 years already and have never fought. We always manage to find common ground before letting emotions take over. This is one of the main reasons why I could see myself with her for life. But, I digress... BACK ON TOPIC!

Trust me, I ain't fooling nobody. Note how I stated "complete up to date" in my post and emphasized it with the quotation marks. I fully acknowledge that there will be more in the future. However, up until now I've scoured the internet and the only additions that I'm missing which currently exist that I really want are the Jack Sparrow and Baby Doll figures.

I find that you really have to look for what you want, you will find it just may not be the price your are looking to spend or it maybe a complete steel...

Congrats Petra
