Maybe the Dark Knight Rises will default to the lossy audio track like the first two for continuity.

I know all the home media stores in my area are not a 10-1 dvd to BD ratio. Maybe 4-1 or 5-1, at the most.

This would include: Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart and Frys.

you know you are exaggerating. Bluray is WINNING almost everytime for big blockbuster movies now. DVD's are trailing behind

05:10:12 Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced the sales of "Marvel's The Avengers" (USA 2012), and provides at least from the perspective of high-camp for a little sensation, as measured by sales figures, is the High Definition media Blu-ray Disc before the DVD. In the first two weeks of sales in Germany were thus 136,000 Blu-rays of the film sold. Added yet to come 58,600 3D Blu-rays. That makes a total sales figure of 194,600 HD titles in just 2 weeks. The DVD comes in the first two weeks of sales to only 152,000
DVD's are almost dead

Nope. Not even close. Dvd's are still a very cheap form of data storage...and because of that they will be around for quite some time.

i still think they earn more on blurays they are little more expensive and because they sell almost as much and like Avengers here even more. I am also certain Dark Knight Rises is going through the roof. Even Snow White sold impressive on bluray this year

There's no doubt that blu-ray is gaining on dvd, and why wouldn't it? More & more people are getting BD players which will lead to increased sales.
But blu-ray was never designed to replace dvd. It was, and still is, a more expensive and improved option to compliment dvd.

Most people still buy dvd over blu ray. Not everyone cares about having the best picture quality.

Default You know....

I don't think I can ever buy a UCE or anything of the sort for any film. The sole reason being that I have no space for special releases like that. I'll just stick to my original plan and "double dip" for the trilogy release this December.

Speaking on the subject of Warners, I must also hunt down the 3 disc Emerald Edition of The Wizard of Oz.
