Nope, not here. Amazon used to ship my pre-orders on Friday and I would get them through USPS on Monday, but they haven't done that recently. They shipped my Avengers 3D early Monday morning for Tuesday delivery. Jerks.

I'm quite disappointed though, since it's absolutely the best 3D experience I've ever had, watching it in Dolby 3D. Even the most cramped scenes in a cockpit, talking over a table etc. revealed remarkable depth, that added to the experience. The way Ridley shoots 3D, he throws in objects in the field, angled uneven, that somehow helps you manage depth. This feeling seems to lack, when watching it at home. I don't think the 3D is worse though on the BD, it just demands a lot of your equipment, to get it to shine, and even a JCV top projector, and a light controlled room, can't raise those muscles. Perhaps in a couple of years, if Red Ray laser projectors hits an ok price range. |

Not sure if this has been covered in this thread yet or not (sorry, I'm not about to flip through 140+ pages to find it)...but...
The Best Buy circular for this week (10/7–10/13) says you can get the Prometheus Blu-Ray 3D for "$19.99 with coupon", but the coupon they're referring to is their "DVD-to-Blu-Ray Upgrade/Trade-in" thing... "**Bring in your original DVD (no burned copies accepted) with the original case to Customer Service and receive a $5-off coupon valid on any Blu-Ray movie priced $9.99 and up. ..." I understand this for a catalog title...but how does that work for a brand new release? ![]() |

Just bring in any retail DVD and they give you a $5 coupon. It doesn't have to be a dvd of the same movie to get the blu-ray coupon. For instance, you don't need to trade in a Prometheus DVD for a $5 Trade and Save coupon to use on Prometheus. Any retail DVD works. |

I got my Avengers bluray on Monday, but the shipped notification came on Saturday. It shipped from Dallas to mansfield, tx though, so it didn't have far to travel.

Hello folks, is this movie worthy of a blind buy? Ive heard/read mixed reviews and I dont want to get it from RedBox bc lately theyve been using those dreadful "Rental" discs ala Netflix that sometimes doesnt have the 5.1 or 7.1 soundtracks.
Thanks! |
