My coffin set finally arrived from Amazon today via Royal Mail. At least it arrived as now appears to be OOP. Was on Amazon someone earlier in the thread said.

Yes, as usual it appears some buy it just to sell on at a profit. It is very sad.

Agree. The problem with LE like this is they give you no indication of the edition size. If they said only a few thousand people may have decided to so with some where reliable like Amazon or Play where you have more chance of getting it. So you can decide not to go with cheaper etailers who may struggle to get stock.

Some of these un numbered LE sell out pretty much to preorders but others are around for ages. Recently got the Scarface LE cigar box from Amazon which contains the Steelbook and other stuff for less than the steelbook alone sells for as that's OOP. Amazon were obviously trying to clear the boxset.

Finally ordered the coffin edition from Zavvi. I figured it was better to just order it now, instead of hesitating and then it might go OOP and cost a fortune.
Originally I actually only wanted the standard edition, but I think getting the coffin prevents the digipack from arriving damaged.

Haha, that's exactly my thinking too. However I ordered from Sainsbury's.... Hope they can fulfill it (surely they'd take it down or mark OOS if it was)

Simon did you pre-order? Totally agree they should show as out of stock, they haven't even been able to fulfil all their pre-orders yet and there is no certainty they will!

I ordered this on Friday from Amazon and think I must have gotten the last one, after that it was a third party merchant fulfilled by Amazon that was the next offer. I got mine for £42.75 and it was dispatched Sunday.

Well ordered from Zavvi for £42.95 using Discount code VCUKOCT4, its the cheapest price i could find excluding Sainsburys. I will keep my Sainsburys order open for a couple of days to see what happens but i don't expect any change, given how slow Zavvi are I should have plenty of time to cancel if Sainsburys get their finger out!

You're right. There are a few region free UK discs that have the SD extras in PAL. Witchfinder General is one of them. I couldn't watch those extras until I got a player that played PAL. The TV is just a monitor. As long as you can transfer the information to it you can watch it.

I just bought the Limited Edition Coffin set on Play.com for £44.99 and the order status reads 'Awaiting Stock'. I wonder how long it will be when they get them in again.

There is the possibility this is now OOP.
Everyone seems sold out currently.
Guess it depends if Universal want to make some more. If so may take some time as non standard box.

Hopefully Universal do make more. If they do, I'm in no rush in getting it because it's going to be saved for Christmas.

if it is truly limited then i think it should be a one print run, cause if they keep reprinting them, then they not really limited like it says on the coffin

It may be limited in the UK but the coffin set will be released tomorrow(10/10) here in Scandinavia. The coffin set is the only option. Looks to be identical to the UK set but without BBFC logos on the cover. Price is 49.95 €.

My coffin from Amazon UK is still in Croydon, or it shows that it departed Croydon on October 2nd, but nothing has come from it in the past week. Also, when I go to Amazon UK, when I log in and click on view orders, it shows I have no orders. The only way I can track/see this order is by searching for the coffin on Amazon UK and going to it from there (It says "you ordered this item September 3rd. Click here to view the order") or by going to it from the email Amazon UK sent me about it being shipped last Monday. Does all of this sound/look fairly normal for your experiences with Amazon UK?

Date Time Location Event Details
2 Oct 2012 03:56:02 PM Croydon Departure Scan
2 Oct 2012 11:32:21 AM Croydon Shipment received by carrier
1 Oct 2012 07:42:44 AM --- Order has been handed over to the carrier and is in transit

It only shows orders from the last 30 days as the default. Same as every other Amazon site. There is a drop down box on the right hand side of your orders screen that will let you expand your order search.
