JK.

But the giants had a bunch in luck in those SB aswell. Mainly a couple lucky catches.

Dudes!

In any event, the Giants have a strong team. Some people thought it odd that a 9-7 team would shine in the playoffs, but I attribute the contrast to injuries/recoveries. Much of the defense was injured early in the season but was healthy in time for January.

The other big factor is that the Giants (esp Eli Manning) are big game players. They play their best football when the stakes are high, as was the case late last season fighting for the playoff spot and in the postseason that followed.

The Giants always stink it up during the regular season losing to teams they have no business losing to (Redskins twice last season?) Then they get hot for a four to five game stretch on all sides of the ball and end up with some amazing pass rush and incredible/lucky catches in the Super Bowl.

The Patriots line last year could block everyone... except the Giants. And losing the field position battle cost the Pats the game imo.

So you don't believe in the old saying "It's not how you start, but how you finish that matters."

Last years Giants would like to have a word with you.

I think GM Gene Smith is on the hot seat. Not sure about his current contract. All the players he drafted (Jags) are not producing.

We are 1-4 and it's really panic time for us. Instead of showing some improvement (which we have), we still find ways to lose. Put it this way, if we're down 10 points or more. We're most likely going to lose the game. Our offense for so many years is not built to come from behind and score points. We don't have the talent, and I'm getting tired of our local radio commentators backing up our young players like Gabbert that it takes time to build talent. Well, look at the other players like Dalton, or Ponder. They are at superstar status or becoming one.

Every team that wins a Superbowl has luck along the way. I don't know why people even bring it up as if it isn't obvious.

From injuries to key rivals to having that super-hard sack not concussing the QB, it's all luck-related.

Gene Smith has a contract through 2014, as he got a three-year extension from Wayne Weaver in the days before he sold the team, but I would be surprised if he isn't fired after the season if they finish as among the worst teams in the league.

yes because a crazy once in the history of nfl football helmet catch and a crazy out route catch by two guys who aren't on the team one of which isn't even in the league (which I called ) makes Eli clutch...

The Jaguars and 49ers are going to play in London on October 27, 2013, with the Jaguars as the home team. The Jaguars are going to play at least 4 straight years in London from 2013-2016.

Looking forward to getting slaughtered by the potential Super Bowl champs. The way the 49ers are playing on defense. I don't know if we'll make it into their redzone.

You were already beaten by the potential Super Bowl champs first game of the season.

Packers Nick Perry is fined for his hit on Luck this past weekend….which I don’t understand. It wasn’t a helmet to helmet hit….he put his facemask in Luck’s chest which I always thought was a legal hit.

It sure is a legal hit, just another bad fine by Goodell's regime.

I make it a point to not complain about ref’s and how they’ve been screwing the packers this season (oops!! ) but that penalty just rubbed me the wrong way.

And now I get to look forward to us playing the best team in the league.

Sure hope the Ravens get a big win this week before the next game. I don't foresee anyone stopping that "bulls on parade" thing the Texans got going anytime soon. JJ Watt is scary good, makes me wish T-Sizzle didn't hurt himself playing basketball in the offseason

With the way they've started, their finish may be irrelevant. They still have to play at the Texans, Rams, Giants, Lions, Bears & Vikings. Unless Rodgers gets on the same page as his receivers, they won't make it.

Andrew Luck is going to become one of the golden boys of the NFL a la Brady and Manning. He's going to get calls to go his way.

watch any game with Jennings when Favre was quarterback. he rarely (if ever) complained to refs, threw up his arms expecting pass interference if he dropped / didn't catch a pass. the last three years especially he's gotten an ego and his whining / arm flailing resembles T.O. these days.

i'm sure they have a list of excuses planned for when they lose to Houston this week.

1. Jaguars don't have fans in their own damn city. why would London be a breeding ground of Jaguars fans?

2. Goodell wants the NFL to be big overseas, which it never will be, so he constantly seems to send one good team to absolutely demolish a terrible team. yeah, that'll bring in the fans!!!

sorry cruz
