The 4 disc are 2 Blu's and 2 DVD's.
Because of the high SRP 50% off is 25$
are you talking about the one from DirectTV?

Good job. You deduced that 50% of $50 is $25. Great. Now take another $5 from U&S and that brings it to $20 for 3 BD's and 1 DVD with Prometheus. Avengers was $19.99 without any coupons for the 3D release. Even without the DVD and DC, $19.99 is an excellent price on release day for a 3D release.

That's your own fault. They price match anyway.

No need to get rude
I'm simply saying that these SRP are way to high

You don't have a blu-ray in the Car?

Personally I would prefer they NOT include the DVD and save us a few bucks. As it is they are hurting their sales as my DVD's, unless it has some exclusive on it, just goes out again to someone else.

i agree on with you on this i do not have a tv in my car or truck so the extra dvd included in the blu ray releases is useless to me i have 2 blu ray players

This debate is going to go on forever because some people actually have a use for the DVDs and some people don't. I guess you can't please everyone.

I love them, only because they make my friends and family happy when I pass them on to them. I am surprised my OCD doesn't kick in and I need to keep them together, but I freely give them out as soon as I get them.

Well, if you're going to get into collecting Blu-rays, you better get used to it. lol A lot of studios are doing it.

It doesn't bother me if they are included. But I don't watch movies on my laptop, on the go, or at work. They could be handy if you are on vacation or staying with family/friends and have nothing to do.

Family/children oriented titles are the best for this, DVD for the kids. You could have the kids watch Prometheus for that long trip. That would be cool. Should keep them quiet at least.

I gave some of the DVDs to a friend much less fortunate than I am. I even sold a few for $5 to lower the total blu-ray cost.

I don't buy the argument about people not owning blu-ray yet, buying the combo so they don't have to buy it again. 3 yrs ago.......yes. But not now. Those who haven't made the leap yet probably never will.

My kids have a TV/DVD in their playroom, so it really is a bonus with all the Disney/kids movies.

I think it's a great idea to include the DVD. A lot of people still don't have blu ray players, and its great to be able to watch the DVD when I go visit a friend who doesn't yet have a blu ray player.

Also, a lot of laptops don't have blu ray drives yet. Having the DVD handy when traveling or what not, gives the viewer the chance to watch the film.

I have no use for an inferior version of any film I purchase. The DVDs I get inside my Blu-ray purchases are all handed off to friends/family who can't afford the equipment to enjoy Blu-ray anyways.

If I own a Blu-ray copy, I'm going to watch that film on my big screen in all its glory. There is no way I'm paying premium equipment/media prices to watch the content on a laptop screen (or worse, a mobile phone screen ). I'd rather wait until I get home and go HARDCORE PARKOUR on that shit!

So you can give the DVD copy to your buddy that hasn't made the jump to Blu Ray yet.

 it's funny how dvd's are treated now the same way vhs/LD's or worst case scenario vcd's used to be. One day people will be using blu-rays to scare the birds away from trees.

what we need now is holographic optical storage for 4k or 8k movies.
