It's awesome to see From Beyond get a release, but less exciting because it was already coming from Second Sight in the UK.

I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, because it is great news, I just would have rather had an announcement for The Fog, Prince Of Darkness or The Burning.

I'm down with this news. Great movie and I'm very happy to know that I can replace my DVD plus get new extras! Glad to see companies not only include everything from the previous release but then to one up it with new extras! SCream Factory rocks! Here's hoping they still have The Fog, The Howling and The Burning coming!

Shiiiiiit.. This a cult classic, pretty much a companion piece to "Re-Animator" far as I'm concerned. Now we just need "Bride of Re-Animator" fellas. "Scream/Shout Factory" studio of the year far as I'm concerned, salvaging these cult classics showin' em a little respect, horror fan's dream come true.
I hated the movie, so this sucks for me.

No, it wasn't. It can certainly look better, but the UK disc was not an upscale.

Oh that's right, Cliff. Totally forgot about the making of featurette. Excellent news about the "From Beyond" features, this is going to be one hell of a Collector's Edition to look forward to in 2013. In regards to Horrorhound, how many titles are you guys anticipating to announce or is that still being worked out? Thanks in advance!

From Beyond is an awesome selection for Scream Factory. This is the type of release that will go over quite well in some circles and is known by most younger horror fans.

I might pass on From Beyond. It's a good film, but I've only watched my DVD once in the past 5 years.

Yeah, of all the MGM annoucements, I think From Beyond is the least exciting.

Well, that would explain why my question about them releasing From Beyond went unanswered.

It'd be "epic" by comparison

I knew it! It was actually in my list of possible choices (The Fog, The Burning or From Beyond). I'm pretty sure they'll announce The Fog at the HorrorHound Weekend....
That being said, I'm happy with From Beyond. I mean, if you Reanimator this is like an unofficial sequel of sorts and I loved the Lovecraft story. Besides, not only we're getting the old special features and NEW ones!

I can't believe the somewhat un-excited responses from this announcement

From Beyond is an 80's classic...one of the best sci-fi/horrors to come out in the decade and an essential component in the "body horror" sub-genre.

Stuart Gordon, Jeffrey Combs and Brian Yuzna...come on...

Never seen it before but I see Hulu currently has it available so I guess I'll check it out first before making a decision to purchase or not.

It's the least exciting because a) it's already had a very good release and b) it's getting another release, this time on Blu, from the UK. It's just one of those titles that is in danger of becoming "overexposed" (the reason why I'm not buying THE FUNHOUSE - I already have the excellent Arrow version). I too have only watched my DVD copy once since I got it in 2007 and will be passing on the reissue. I'm glad it's announced and out of the way, though - now I won't have to think about it anymore. Still waiting for my version of a "biggie": an unreleased and highly requested title, maybe Without Warning or Alien Predators.

For one thing, From Beyond coming out through Shout does set a precedent: previously-released titles are definitely "on the table" so we know for sure that films like THE BURNING, THE FOG and THE HOWLING are sure bets. It's just a matter of time before they're officially announced
