Arrested Development: Funny sitcom, but overrated as hell.

And there goes the other half.

Right now I'm freaking out. My best friend is getting married tomorrow (big church wedding with many people) I'm one of the two best men. This is the first big wedding I've ever been too.

It's not actually the church wedding that terrifies me, it's the reception. It's mainly giving a toast (in front of 40+ people, many I never met before) that might be easy for most, but is something that keeps me awake at night in terror. I've long suffered from panic attacks in such situations and even with medication something like this is freaking me out. I still don't know how I'm going to handle this tomorrow. I've been wanting to tell my friend (the groom) for weeks now that I can't do a toast, but I know it's a tradition and would look really bad and might insult him if I tried to pass. I suppose I could just do my best and attempt a very short half minute to one minute speech, but even that is pushing it for me. This sucks.

You gotta Man Up Bro. This is one of the biggest days of his life.
I'd be freaked too, but you HAVE to do it. Have a couple drinks first to loosen up, but not too many. Sometimes less is more when the message is right. Do you know some funny dudes who could help you out? Try google as well. I haven't looked in quite a while but askmen.com had advice for all kinds of stuff. Playboy may have something too.
Even if you don't do well, the Groom will appreciate the effort. He knows you well, I assume, so may understand if things aren't said perfectly. Think positive and don't be nervous.
Best of luck!
