yes ants can carry many times their own weight, but the idea with Ant-Man is that he retains the strength of a normal size person when hes small. so hes never any stronger than a normal human (except when hes Giant Man of course).

I was kidding.

I honestly never read much about Ant-Man until The Ultimates. He was a real ******* in that arc. I hope they keep at least a hint of his douchiness in the movie.

I thought they might slide this into the November before 'Avengers 2', but I'm not upset over the wait. I just want the best possible 'Ant-Man' movie directed by Edgar Wright, so the wait will definitely be worth it.

Agreed! They can take their time as far as I'm concerned...so as long as it gets made! He's the right man for this job! It's a good start for Phase 3 and Avengers 3.

I'm glad that 2015 won't be only the Avengers 2. I kind of wish they had a movie coming late this year.

I think after Iron Man 3 next year, we are done with Iron Man solo movies. My bet is Iron Man will be "saved" for appearances in Avengers movies. Clearly, there will be Captain America 3 and Thor 3 as part of Phase 3. Along with Ant-Man, I think the other 2 movies will be about establishing "new" Avengers to carry movies after Avengers 3. There's just too many "rumblings" about Dr. Strange, Ms. Marvel, and Black Panther for those characters not to have solo films or significant roles as part of phase 3. So Phase 3 will look something like this:
2015: Ant-man
2016/2017 (for sure): Captain America 3 & Thor 3
2016/2017 (pick 2): Dr Strange, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, possible Hulk movie, Gaurdians of the Galaxy 2?
2018: Avengers 3

I wonder if this means we'll see him pop up in Avengers 2 at all? Whether it be a cameo or more of a fully-fledged role. I think he will, it just seems a bit odd starting Phase 3 with something completely new to the universe. I think we'll get a taste of Hank Pym at least in Avengers 2, if not Ant-Man himself.

I think we will as well. Feige did say they were introducing two new characters in 'The Avengers 2'. Would make sense to introduce him here first. Gives him a lot of exposure.

Like from ant size to human size out of nowhere?

Bring on Panther-- cool new setting, new mythology and a truly iconic character.

If i had my way......

Namor movie---same as above, a movie with large parts underwater would be an awesome chnge of pace AND

Ka-Zar--the whole primeval jungle hidden under Antarctica is great visually, i think.

sure wich Marvel could go to 3 movies a year early summer, mid-summer, early holiday season.

2016-- Black Panther--medium budget
2016-- Sub-Mariner--large budget
2016-- Incredible Hulk 2--large budget

2017-- Cap 3--medium budget
2017--Thor 3--large budget
2017-- Ka-zar--large budget

2018--Avengers 3--very large budget

2018--Daredevil (reboot)--medium budget

That is my dream scenario.

I'll just be waiting on my Testaract to arrive in the meantime.

I can see him being in Avengers 2 just to kick-start the idea of him to the general public. To the average Joe, the name probably sounds like something that might come from Pixar or Dreamworks, so he might need that extra push from a high profile release like Avengers 2 to get things off on the right foot and establish him properly.

They may even introduce him before that , there is a Shield tv show coming starring guess who . Agent Coulson so hey if they wanted to he could make an appearance there .
