Wow, these BLU-RAY movie threads are getting started earlier and earlier. Why not start one for Avengers 3 for sometime around 2019 while you're at it!

If we're going as far as Avengers 3, why not add the third Captain America and Thor films into it? I mean, they are more than likely going to be in third phase of Avengers.

Can't wait to see Thor 2 3D. I thought the 3D in Thor 1 was pretty good compared to some weaker efforts. Good layers. Not great, but good. Good movie also, especially the ongoing battle of Thor and Loki.

I wonder how long Loki will continue to be the main Villain, as great as he plays the role? Will he team up this time also, as in Avengers?

Probably the same 3D method as Avengers, no?

what!!!? Where's the Iron Man 3 news bit!!!??? I MUST SEE lol

soooo happy to hear both are in 3d! super stoked for more Iron Man goodness in the 3rd dimension, considering his bits were some of the best 3d moments in the Avengers

Most likely, considering that 3d commentators have noted in spy pics for both movies I think that it looked like they just had 2d rigs.

Conversion doesn't deter me in the slightest though. StereoD (I'm pretty sure Marvel is still going to have a relationship with them for a looooonng time lol) knows what they are doing with 3d imo

Honestly, it's everywhere! I was going to cite a source, but there was just so many over the internet. I couldn't find the official word from Disney.

If after Avengers 3D's huge success (over 1 billion), Disney were to release Iron Man 3 without 3D, I'd say it was a decision probably made by the director, kind of like Nolan with Batman, who feels 3D is unnecessary since the 3D illusion is already there in 2D he suggests, as with when the first artists began painting with perspective and vanishing points to create the illusion of depth and dimension.

But in light of all the support Disney has given 3D, I'm really glad Iron Man 3 is getting the 3D option in addition to 2D. Here's a link below mentioning it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Man_3
Filming began on May 23, 2012 and it was shot primarily in North Carolina, with additional filming scheduled to take place in Florida and China. Iron Man 3 is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2013, and the film will be converted to 3D in post-production.

Captain America 2: Winter Soldier has been confirmed though I can't imagine it wouldn't have a 3D option.

Relating to the blue cube of power (forgot the name already), Thor, in Avengers,
[Show spoiler]took it back with him and Loki. I'm wondering if there's any chance Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull would return in Cap 2, as the villains for Thor 2 might be those Aliens on the rocks in outer space, seeing how these movies are intertwining story lines.

I'm super geeked for this movie. Thor was one of my favorite Marvel movies of all time. I just hope the 3d is better in this one than the last because its conversion was FLAT.

Thor 2 will have stronger 3D if Avengers is anything to go by. Can't wait.
I actually liked the 3D in Thor, despite some conservative shots, the 3D layering was pretty good and not as weak as many of Harry Potter DHII's 3D shots.

Chris Helmsworth (spelling) is also said to be in a new spin off of the Snow White and the Huntsman. He did a nice job as Thor and the movie was way better than I was expecting.

Bump Thread:

I wonder if Iron Man 3, in theaters May 3, 2013, will feature any connection to Thor, Hulk, or Captain America. I wonder how long Loki will remain as the main enemy for Thor.

I hope the conversion for this one is as well done as in Avengers, but cranked up for the dialog shots, which could have been stronger.

A new Thor 2 trailer, nice. I'll take a look. Thanks Swordfish.

I'm assuming that means November 8, rather than UK's August 11th. Good news, thanks.
