I have the steel and bought it towards the end of its run, it had the old disc in. I had to send it off to the disc replacement program.
Email the seller and ask them if it has the pocket blu label as highlighted below:

Please note there is no difference to packaging and the only way to tell if you have a new or old disc is by the inclusion of ‘Pocket Blu’ on the new disc only.

The seller reckon they look like the old discs and i've now been outbidded so i'll wait and get them somewhere else.

i noticed a seller on amazon has a mint copy for just £20 so i'll message them to find out if they have the new discs.

yep that was copy i was on about. i sent a message asking if it has the original or new replacements discs and i got back:

i've been looking up gladiator blu ray steelbook and i noticed that all of the gladiator steelbooks had a problem with the discs and everyone had to get them replaced. i just want to know does this copy come with the old discs or the new replacement discs.

The steel book was the first to come out on blu ray and it was not remastard . you need this one becouse i own this and it looks amazing

I just manged to get steelbook for just £10 on cex website. It might be battered but if it is , i can always trade it back in

So far i've got 2 steels from their site and they both have been mint so fingers crossed

I'll pick up the Augmented reality version when its in stock in my local and i'll put the new disc in the steel.

You're wrong i'm afraid. I owned the Steelbook & had the replacement disc sent to me, which I was told is the same as any other UK release!
