I'm probably the only person living in Southern Cali cheering that last half! I've never liked the Chargers, and though I'm not really a Broncos fan I've always liked Manning. Heck of a last half! WAY TO GO BRONCOS!

Edit: And I guess I should also give credit where credit is due. Thanks also to Rivers on the assists for a Broncos win!

only upside for Lewis is he already has a ring, but still.
Couldn't they just let him play for a few minutes. He's got a torn something but I bet he could play for a few minutes anyhow. He could go in for the extra point attempts and stuff.

So being on top of the AFC North and second seed in the AFC is finished?

Go watch the Raven/49er game from last Thanksgiving when Ray Lewis was out. Sack city, and a dominant defensive performance.

Ray Lewis is the greatest LB of all time, he has been the heart and soul of the franchise for the past 16 years since inception. Hopefully he will stay around and either play another year or coach, because he has a great mind for football. In all likelihood it won't be to play again.

Now the Ravens begin trying to win A.R. (After Ray)

They're lucky Ngata has minor MCL damage although minor could turn into major. Still ravens werent playing up to their standards with Webb, Ngata, and Lewis in.

Norv Turner deserves to be fired after last night's debacle. He is a terrible coach and never even deserved the job in the first place. He's a good offensive coordinator but can not manage a game properly. I still have no idea how he kept his job after missing the playoffs the last 2 years. Phillip Rivers prime is being wasted due to an inept coach. Some Norv Turner facts via grantland.com:

Quote:
• Coached more games than any other coach with an overall losing record.
• Started 2-0 only once (this season) in 15 seasons as a head coach
• 49-68-1 in 1 possession games; 2nd worst all-time

Castillo never made sense as the Eagles defensive coordinator. He had spent his entire NFL career on offense and had never coached defense at a high level, yet the Eagles still moved him from the offensive line to defensive coordinator. It's in no way a shock that Castillio didn't work out.

To me the person who switched him to def. Coordinator needs to be fired. Not only is that a stupid transition, but the Online for the Eagles is not doing great either.

It seems like a scapegoat decision that wasnt his(Castillo) decision in the first palce.

Who do you think they'll get for his replacement?

Can't disagree with the assessment, but it's shocking to me that they fired anything D-related when defense has actually done a pretty good job considering they are constantly dealing with turn-over field position game, after game, after game.

*EDIT* As noted on ESPN: 14th in PPG for defense, 31st in PPG for offense.

I don't get it.

Yeah true but the offense for them have won games, and the defense so far has lost 2 games.

According to sources Castillo changed the defensive scheme at the end of the game and took Asomogaugh off of Calvin and Played a scared Zone scheme and got lit up like a christmas tree in consequence they Lost.

But on the other end Lesean Mccoy Rushed Twice in the second Half or 4th quarter when they had the 10 Point Lead. Thats a Head Coach problem i think. Andy might start calling the offense here next game.

Vick Basically made 1 mistake yesterday with his pic, the fumble wasn't his fault.

Jimmy Haslem just got unanimous approval today from the league's owners to become the new owner of the Browns, and a big change is coming to the team per Adam Schefter:

Quote:
Browns president Mike Holmgren will retire at the end of this season and former Eagles president Joe Banner is being named the Browns new CEO effective immediately, according to league sources. New Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is expected to make the announcement today
While they say Holmgren is retiring this is clearly a firing. It was clear when Haslem bought the team that he was going to bring his own people in and that Holmgrem was not going to last.

Edit: Per the linked story Holmgren will leave the team within 24 hours and not at the end of the season.
