Charlie Strong sure turned around Louisville. They just improved to 7-0. They better enjoy him while they can. He'll be getting come calls from bigger programs real soon. I still think Arkansas should make him their top target for next head coach.

West Virginia needs to get rid of their OC. He called a terrible game last week by constantly wanting to run the ball when they can't, and he's doing it again this week.

It's been said that it took him so long to get a HC position because he has a white wife. Unfortunately that type of thing is still frowned upon among some older, white males(donors). Arkansas would be one of those spots that may not be a great fit. I do think USC jr would come calling if Spurrier hangs it up soon, the fans still love him there.

I've long thought that too about Strong - his race combined with the fact that his wife is white. I can't see any other explanation for a guy with his resume not getting a better job than Louisville. But it's not like South Carolina is any more progressive than Arkansas on such matters.

These days though I think the fans in general, even in the south are by and large willing to overlook such things so long as the coach is successful on the field. Strong will get his chance, and I do hope it's in the SEC.

If you claim Geno isn't actually good because of the defenses he's played, you can't view Klein as having done anything in this game.

But WV's offensive problem is their running game. They literally only have Geno and Austin playing football.

If outplaying the Heisman front-runner makes you the front-runner, then half of the Heisman award winners wouldn't have won.

Also, Smith wouldn't be the current front-runner; the Texas Tech QB would.

I don't think Doege was the frontrunner coming into this week. The guy had 7 picks and was garbage in that blowout loss to Oklahoma. After today's 7 TD game he's helped his cause though.

Looks like Kansas St. will jump ahead of Oregon to #3 in the next BCS rankings.

Dammit I knew I should have put some money on Miami to cover. The spread for this game seemed pretty excessive at 21 points. I'm sure FSU wins it, but they aren't likely to cover.
