I love Richt, he's made them far more relevant than Donnan ever did, it would be laughable to see Donnan try and win games against the SEC now he'd be 0fer in this current incarnation of SEC play. Richt's problem has mostly been injuries, and some questionable play calling. Beyond that he can do no wrong.

If LSU can bump up to #3 before seasons end we could have a SEC rematch, after the SEC championship game is decided

Lord I hope not. LSU has looked dreadful for stretches of games this year.

If you think the backlash was bad last year, just wait for how bad it'd be if the team that nearly lost to Auburn somehow worms its way back into the title game.

To say "nobody plays defense in the Big 12" is a little overly broad. KSU plays very good defense and OU has a top 15 defense while playing 3 top 20 offenses. Most of the defenses aren't very good but OUs and KSUs are really good IMO and really good statistically.

Eh stats don't really matter for the big boys I mean right now Akron and Marshall are in the top 5 offenses... Do we really think they could beat Oklahoma, or Alabama

knocking off USC twi ce will be a great bonus to boost us to #2 in the polls. can only hope Florida looks awful one of these weeks (or in the SEC Championship) and gets dropped back a few spots. Big 12 shoots themselves in the foot with no title game, and no other conference is really in the running.

He's a great recruiter, and a terrible coach and mentor.

Not really. A championship game only helps you if you win and win big. It hurts you badly if you lose. It's pretty indifferent to you if you win close.

I've always thought Les Miles fell into that category. He makes a lot of very questionable calls in game but his recruiting is so good his teams are always ranked highly.

I agree, but one thing I really respect about him is how he holds his players responsible for their actions off the field. He's not afraid to hand out suspensions when needed. He's a good man.

If he really held them accountable, he'd kick them off the team. Or, ya know, not recruit them...

The benefit of being in a conference championship has no bearing on a team who wasn't there.

Donnan was a loser just like Richt is a loser. That is UGA. One of the best jobs in the country. GA is loaded with talent and no one leaves that state, until this year. They should be conference and national contenders every year. They can't beat a team that has a pulse now.

Coaches in bigtime college football typically aren't going to kick players off the team after an arrest or two (in most cases). At least Richt is willing to discipline them the proper way instead of just sweeping it under the rug like some college football coaches.

Richt also has had the perfect storm of injuries and other amazing teams in the conference. It's like the Jazz and the Bulls it's not that they were bad its that the other teams have just been that good.

Name a team that has more talent than or eqaul talent that UGA has beaten in the last 2-3 years. They just struggled with a horrible Kentucky team. I'm not a UGA fan, I hate them almost as much as USC jr., but they are a soft football team. Richt is Tommy Bowden.
