I did. Funny, a couple weeks ago I was in Costco and saw a WWII Box set with the Sand Pebbles, The Longest Day, Tora Tora Tora, etc (all of which I knew were on Blu) and The Great Escape. On the front was a huge blue sticker that said "Upgrade Dad to HD". I almost fainted--I thought "this has got to none a mistake, something accidentally put out early". I grabbed it and quickly realized they were all DVDs and the sticker referred to some coupon program for people going to double-dip later. oh, well-- they had the Universal Classic Monsters for $97, so it turned out to be a good day anyway.

This news makes my day, too! I haven't seen The Quiet Man since I sold my Laserdisc version back in the late '90s. Finally coming to Blu-ray and with a new 4K transfer to boot!

I just hate the fact that OLIVE never add Subtitles Option to their releases

Olive does have that film, so it should be coming soon.

So do I. Olive should take a hint on how many people outside the US are interested in the titles they select to release. But without at least English subtitles I will not buy any of them!

I guess I'll have to hold onto the DVD for the commentary anyway.
Yeah, the DVD looks awful.

But the BD has dropped several extra features.... WHY ?

I want this one. Unless the reviews are horrible (very unlikely) then The Quiet Man will have a place in my collection.

Weird...my current professor is the one whose essay is being used in the booklet. Guess that's what happens when you become a biographer of John Ford...

I am cautiously optimistic regarding this release, given the other than stellar history of the title's previous video appearances. That said, one good review and I am IN!!

This is a top 5 film for me. Hope they did a good restoration and transfer. I've seen all the special features in other versions, so I just want the best possible Quiet Man in 1080p.

Thumbs up The Quiet Man - I'm Down With It....

Dam, Wayne should have won his 1st. Oscar for The Quiet Man (and should have won Best Picture as well).

This is and always will be my fav John Wayne movie..

Na, that should have been his second Oscar, he should have won the first one for She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
