Nielsen's tracking is based on UPCs. The Matrix Trilogy will only have two UPCs: one for the basic 3-pack, one for the Ultimate collection.

This is a good competitor for them, but Apocalypto and Flags of Our Fathers really helps BD that week.
I'm willing to bet the Matrix box set will only count as one title, because only one sku is being scanned at the POS.

That's good to know, but just wait for the HD-DVD camp's sales rebuttal that one sale counts for three. If it counted for three, we would of course remind everyone that all three had to be bought together.

We have many titles which is going to be released on MAY and they are hitting titles and this is going to prove BD is the support title to go with and Cracking every single HD-dvd who thinks that HD-DVD has an advantage over BD even with the release of HD-DVD matrix whereas on the otherhand we as BD fans we have these which and will destruct and make HD-DVD to surrender

A Hitting and blockbusters titles:

Apocalypto (Buena Vista)
Closer (Sony)
Flags of Our Fathers (DreamWorks)
Freedom Writers (Paramount)
M:I-2 (Paramount)
Mission: Impossible (Paramount)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (Buena Vista)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (Buena Vista)
Primeval (Buena Vista) Then let's see who is going to be still on the roof forever on MAY22

yeah budday! I still feel the matrix trilogy release on HD-DVD won't be as significant as we make it out to be.

I was just responding to someone saying Pirates of the Carribbean will end HD-DVD. I don't think The Matrix has a chance to resuscitate HD-DVD, but I think it might keep it on life support.

Oh, and the Mission: Impossible movies are a dual-format release.

It is interesting seeing the title count at HDD.

Even with over 30 titles announced by Universal, the total count is in favour of BD, demonstrating that one exclusive studio simply can't compete with 5...
