Same here

Hopefully,Criterion will be able to acquire another Bogdanovich's flick from Paramount - Targets
Besides those two, there's three Paramount's titles that i desperately want to see released by Criterion : Atlantic City,The Tenant and Nashville.
Marathon Man is another one,but i'm hearing that it may has been leased to Warner.

I haven't seen Moonrise yet, and I am afraid to rewatch Mr. Fox as I really liked it on first viewing. I wonder if this phenomena has anything to do with the mood of the viewer theory discussed a few pages back...
Fantastic Mr. Fox gets better with every watch. You notice subtle things you didn't the first time around(or at least I did) and the characters you just like them even more. I wouldn't worry about the Love to Hate thing with MR. Fox.

People are bashing The Game??? I haven't seen it since I saw it in the theaters. I remember liking it but I don't remember much about it except for the basic premise. I am going to have to check it out again sometime soon.

Thanks for the info!

You've missed a couple of vital topics though:
  • Christopher Nolan
  • The Monkees
  • Michael Bay
  • Will the original Star Wars trilogy be released by Criterion?
  • "According to me, the films Criterion should be releasing are..."
  • And you didn't mention "TinyFurnitureblablahblah" enough times.
What's wrong with talking about the Monkees? They're actually in the collection, as are Nolan and Bay.: D AND compared to some of the other topics, they weren't discussed as much.

edit. strike the last sentence. If you're buying from UK amazon, etc. the blu-ray.com buy now links work. Still Walking has a buy link that takes you to the Amazon page.
Not sure why anyone would bother using bogus locations, but anyway...

I already used the 'buy link' via blu-ray.com that normally takes me directly to the Amazon.com listing (handy for when the Amazon.com listing is nowhere to be found in Amazon's search results! why this happens is beyond me) which is sold by Amazon directly but on this occasion it only gave me a marketplace option which is 'fullfilled by Amazon' yet doesn't ship to my country. Scouring through I found the direct Amazon.com listing but its advertised for $28.93

Not sure if mentioned, but has anyone noticed a brief (albeit entire screen encompassing) period of "blue digital noise" in Heaven's Gate, at around the 1:27 or 1:28 period? (Shortly after the roller-skating scene I believe)

I went back and watched it again, and it repeats at the same point. I would take a picture while paused etc.... but it's so blatantly obvious, if other disks have done it, you would know it.

It's been mentioned, so it's on everyone's copy... but it hasn't been confirmed if it's supposed to be there.

I'd be "AMAZED" if it's "supposed to be there" It's certainly not natural looking etc.

Yep. I have Brief Encounter among them. The poll for best upgrade will go live sometime shortly after 12/4. It's only fair Brazil is released before it's posted.

That was my reaction as well. 1.5/month won't be putting a huge dent in my upgrade wishlist anytime soon but it doesn't seem skimpy either.

Tork pwnes him. Although that whole MoM and Facebook trolling stuff by Papa Nez has moved him up to being the second most awesome Monkee. Poor Micky is now 3rd. He lost points whe he said Jack and Jill was an awesome movie and for following Justin Bieber on Twitter.

I'm not sure if I can vote in the best upgrade poll, as my copy of Brazil won't show up for at least a month and a half.

Battle of Algiers shipped today, and Week End finally shipped yesterday. Breathless also came today. So I'm still waiting on Rosemary's Baby, In the Mood for Love, and Black Orpheus from the Nov. 1st shippings, plus Rashomon from the Nov. 13th shippings. Week End and Algiers won't show up until January.

Best Buy dropped the price on Heaven's Gate to $26.99 for Blu, why isn't Amazon following suit?

For those planning on ordering from Best Buy, it's backordered for a 2-4 week period.

Well, I mean something that was inherent in the master they used, of course. Has anyone alerted "Mulvaney" to this anomaly?

I saw Amazon just dropped the price on Three Outlaw Samurai. I've never seen it, and VERY rarely blind buy. Opinions on it? (I very much like samurai flicks, Seven Samurai, Harakiri, Yojimbo, Ran).
