They may just have too many teams to jump. They need 5 spots.

They'll pass Kent State. Possibly pass UCLA. If K-State beats Texas, they'll pass them. If GT wins, they MIGHT pass FSU. But then they'd still need to pass someone else. Possibly if Wisconsin beats Nebraska?

Roughly 15 people made it out to the game in Charlotte.

Well it's on. The two teams with the most national titles in the modern era for the championship. Alabama has 9 championships and Notre Dame has 8.

Tickets for the ACC title game were going for about $3-4 a piece on second market websites this week.

I'd rather see Vad Lee playing. At least he'll get the 3rd and 4th series.

Boise State could cause them problems as well. They are currently 20 to NIU's 21.

Can anyone find a QB who won 3 national championships in the modern era? A lot of guys have come very close - Tim Tebow, Matt Leinart, etc. I'm looking back at the champions going back to the 1950's and can't find a single won.

In trying to look this up I discovered a Notre Dame QB in the 1940's-50's named Bob Williams played QB during the 1949-51 and 1958. WTF... How does a guy play three years of college football then play a 4th season 7 years later?

I'm sure he'll come back for his senior year. He should have a chance to win four.

I forgot he was redshirted. So does that mean he won a ring for the 2009 national title since he didn't play that season?
