I was at BB and I saw spots for 2 versions of the Trilogy. One for $30 and the other for $35. I cant remember but one was listed as a BB exclusive. Whats the difference between them

The Dark Knight Reborn Documentary is the only thing that is different.

It is such an awkward cut imo. It bugs me every time
Yeah, I know what you mean about where they chose to do some of the cuts. The reason why they cut that scene when Batman kicks him into the building during their fight is because an IMAX camera is huge and very very loud. That is why most of the outdoor scenes or loud action scenes are in IMAX, because they have more space and they can pick up the loud noises better and in most cases they'll just remix them anyway. The little dialog scenes are usually not in IMAX because no matter what they'll need to go back and edit out the sound of the camera and probably redo the vocals. If you know this when you are watching the movie it makes a lot more sense where they cut from IMAX to regular aspect ratio.

Yea, I don't mind the cut from the outside fight into city hall, because you are going from a grand moving fight outdoors within a huge crowd, to a more enclosed, intimate space. The cut makes more sense then some actually. That cut along with the gate drop are the best transitions from what I remember. Its not distracting at all to me.

I guarantee, if it was almost any other movie, the message boards would be ripping the same plot hole a new one.

I'm on the fence about picking it up to complete the trilogy. It's certainly not "Hollywood at it's finest", as you say... that would be a great film with NO plot holes or eye-rolling moments, dont you think?

Not ripping your opinion, just the hypoocritical-ness of it.
Maybe some of us don't care about plot holes and instead try and gauge whether or not a filmmaker did what was intended. I no longer care about plot holes. I look at themes and determine if they're carried through or not. This is why I hate Skyfall and have a love/hate relationship with The Dark Knight. If this was any other movie, I would treat it the same as I do others by doing what I outlined in this post.

Really? I thought it was sold out everywhere.

I pre-ordered it on Amazon a while back and I received it yesterday. I was going to keep it sealed in the plastic case, but I ended up opening it and watching it last night. The Blu-ray of the movie is great, amazing audio quality.

I put the Bat Cowl on my shelf with my other Blu's, it looks pretty cool, I just wish it was a little larger.

I might buy another to keep sealed. Seems like these come back instock around 8:30am every morning.

Bought the early local release here and watched the movie more than 5 times since the weekend.

Hoping to get my US orders already...would love to see the editions you guys have been posting on the thread personally.

Cowl, Digibook and the regular combo...come home to daddy.

How the heck did Bane's men get motorcycles into the stock market?

I gotta get this out.....I HATE when movies jump back and forth between aspect ratios. Film the whole damn thing in the same ratio for goodness sake! I don't mind the black bars on my tv, I don't mind the full screen being used, but its just distracting to go back and forth. I will never understand the point in filming a movie in rotating aspect ratios.

it seems the only special editions in Canada just come with the crappy toys or steelbooks. I was hoping for the cowl myself but no place seems to have it. no big deal - i have the Bane bobblehead and it has the broken cowl on it.

Has anyone here yet addressed why the trilogy box is so big? I don't mean just thickness, but width? It just seems bulky for a blu ray box set, even with 5 disks. Seems like a lot of dead space. Just wondering.

Haha, yes, that is odd. I noticed weird things like that in this movie more than other Nolan movies. Also when the cops were trapped in the sewer for 3 months, but they come out clean shaven and over-all clean.

I really don't mind it, I like the action scenes to open up. Honestly I rather have the whole movie fill the screen. I hate any black bars of any kind.

I pre-ordered this Limited Edition Bat Cowl a while back and I was very hesitent as it looked a little cheap and I didn't want another plastic piece of crap on my shelf. So many great movies have come out with a cheap plastic package to make a few bucks.

My original plan was to keep the actaul Bat Cowl in the thin plastic cube outside packaging and display it like that on my shelf. Due to the weird size is just stuck out too far and looked silly on my shelf with my other Blu's, so I took it out and it fits perfectly between my other Blu's.

The disc's are stacked on top of eachother in a thin round plastic case which fits in the base of the broken mask. The mask is a little small, I thought it would have been larger, but the detail and over-all look of it is nice. I only paid $27 for it, so really I am happy with it.

It was a limited edition (35,000) and it seems as though it is very hard to find now. I am glad I pre-ordered it, however for those who did not get one you're really not missing out on a great collectors piece, it is nice, but I'm not blown away.

I'll keep the packaging nice and in a few years I'll probably sell it on eBay and make a few bucks.

I had it in my hands, but I put it back. I was staring at that cover for about 5 minutes in amazement though so I might go back later this week and get it.

Just when I thought obsessing over different editions was finally over, I log on to Amazon and noticed the trilogy was one of my quick picks.

It never ends!
