For the EE Blu-ray singles - can anyone let me know if they have the booklets that were included in the EE boxset? The same booklets that were in the EE DVD sets but now in Blu-ray scale? No one seems to have mentioned so far if they were missing or included. Thanks!

So, could I make a case for cyber bullying against me then?!?!

You are correct though. Looks like the 2 outer smilies are teaming up to beat up the 2 inner smilies.

I figured they could have been watching the DVD and hence my mention of your assumption being premature.

Sure enough it was the DVD so your "unprecedented" second high five can go back in the box with the first because your first one was figuring that the green tint wasn't noticeable when they were watching it (when being the DVD it wasn't there) and your second - well, you're high fiving the fact that they called out my sarcasm. News flash: I was right - they weren't watching the set they wanted to buy, they were watching the DVD. Therefore my sarcasm about you jumping the gun with your assumption was spot on. So you high fived yourself twice and were off on both counts.

So, with all that in mind I think I'm owed these:

Looking to purchase this trilogy for the first time on blu ray. Saw it at best buy for $49.99 and was wondering if that would be a good deal for the entire extended edition trilogy?

That's probably the best the price is going to be for a while. It was lower during black friday at around $43.

Fellowship of the Ring has a green tint that is noticeable. How much it'll bother you is really up to the individual since it tends to be a polarizing topic. I'd check out the review on this site for more information about it.

I finally got the EE trilogy (singles) over at Target for $9.99 a movie. I've already used the cases for some of my other movies that had damaged cases, and the inserts I'll probably trash or try and sell at some point along with the 6 DVD discs. I'll be reusing the DVD box set packaging. That's the best packaging that I've ever seen or own.

The green tint is NOT noticeable to everyone. I don't see anything green about the image. I do notice it is a shade on the dark side compared to the DVD release. HOWEVER, it has no noticeable green quality to it.

Do not let these fear inducing THE FELLOWSHIP IS MADE OF GREEN statements deter you from experiencing the Blu-ray for yourself. YOU be the judge.

It's not green, it's teal

The most distracting thing for me is it seems to come and go from shot to shot. But it doesn't completely ruin the movie or anything.

If you are buying individual releases you could go with TE for the first movie and EE for the rest.

You could go for the TE but then the transfer on that is a horrible blurry mess compared to the EE version.
