The LOTR set is new. The packaging is smaller and it has a lenticular slipcover over the slipbox.

Also, can everyone use spoiler tags when quoting pictures please? Thanks

It's $39.99 at Target but $29.99 with coupon:

Nice. These doesn't have digital copies like the first theatrical trilogy release? That's the one I have that I bought for $7.99 at Target a few BF ago. I'm liking the lenticular.

Yep. Looking at cinemaphile's collection, his is a 9 disc set, 3 of the discs being digital copies. This set has 6 discs and no digital copy discs. It's pretty thin, and very nice looking in my opinion.

Here's a shot of it from another (not so shiny) angle

It was like $10 on walmart a while back so with shipping it came to around $12. It's currently $30 on the site though so it was possibly a price mistake, not sure.

nope, I don't think it does have any digital copies. I knew for sure it wouldn't have the iTunes ones since Warner doesn't really offer those anymore but I thought it might have included UV copies.

If that's what I put in my collection, it's because I couldn't find an option that was just like mine. Mine has 6 discs - no digital copies. I'll try to get some pics.

However, mine did NOT have a lenticular cover.

You have this, which came out two years ago.

but mine is not that thick packaging, its the same size as the "new" one. Basically mine is exactly the same without the lenticular cover.

This is what I got from Target BF 2011:

That picture is just a stock photo, obviously it was never updated with the real size.

But like I said, mine does not have the lenticular, so in that respect it is a new WM exclusive.

Ah, I see. I Never knew they updated the packaging so long ago as I've only seen the bigger ones in unboxing vids. I guess the lenticular slip is the WM exclusive then. Anyway, glad we all sorted that out now lol.

Finally got all my packages from Black Friday today, and also picked up TDKR and Finding Nemo on Tuesday.

Surprised that Fight Club came with a slip.

Somebody please inform us of this groupon deal. I've always looked for groupons relating to blu ray items but never found anything.

I had initially settled for the standard combo for TDKR but I was in Target earlier today and couldn't pass up the digi once I saw it. My first digibook too!

Just received The Game Criterion. Completely agree. Some of the text on the back in the super dark grey background is hilariously unseeable.

I think Criterion wanted to add to the effect and make a Game out of it.

There is apparently two different pieces of cover art going around: one is normal, and one is almost all black with faded print. See here
