1000% Correct. It WAS an outcry, uproar, whatever you want to say & they Def DID increase his voice level every time he spoke. They kind of had their hand forced, IMO

Otherwise, the whole movie would have required subtitles for him...

I guess I'm a scalper now. I work in a small town (6000 pop.) that has a small WM. They had two of the cowl sets still on the display this afternoon for $32 each. After seeing what people were willing to pay I picked them up, put on E-Bay with a $129 BIN price and sold both in less than 10 minutes.

There could've addressed the problem without making his voice sounding completely disembodied from the screen ADR is used all the time and usually it sounds just fine. Bane sounds ridiculous.

anything special to the other editions? I'm leaning on getting regular edition to match my others in the trilogy.

Nice one You're about to hear it from some people on this forum, but don't this to them, they're just jealous.

Don't fret, sir. You had the opportunity and took it. Nothing wrong with that. If people are paying over 100 bucks for something that you can get for 30-35, you'd be dumb not to do it. If I would have had the extra 25 bucks the other night, I would have totally done the same.

Why do people get so butthurt about that? If you don't make it to the store in time to get something, that's the luck of the draw. I wish I could afford to do it. And please don't give me "Because it keeps real collectors from getting something they want because scalpers buy them all up". Obviously real collectors are willing to pay outrageous prices on eBay or Amazon, or else there would be no business for "scalpers". They don't pay the prices because they HAVE to, they pay the high prices because they WANT to.

Because it's dishonest and takes advantage of those who are ignorant of the prices.

But more power to him.

Finally popped open my steelbook and noticed a nice size scratch in the lower right corner. I guess I will be taking it back to swap out with another since the site still shows my store has stock.

I have to say though, I wasnt completely blown away by the picture during the 35mm scenes. For reference, I have the Sharp 70LE847u. I admit the TV hasnt been calibrated aside from me playing with the brightness and contrast from the AVSforum disk. It just didnt look sharp (ironically enough). The IMAX scenes looks nice and crisp but when it went down to the 35mm it didnt even feel like true HD anymore. It almost felt like 720p. More info, its a 70" LED and I sit about 11ft away, give or take a foot. Now I admit that I havent watched a lot of my movies on this TV, I watch most in the bedroom on a 46". Its possibly I am not adjusted to the size difference, maybe my sharpness needs to be adjusted, maybe my eyes need to be checked, it could be a number of things, but it really feels like I noticed it most in this movie. Even Comcast HD cable looks sharper than this.

You aren't alone. The reviewer here and those elsewhere are blind. There are focus issues that really make in unpleasant to watch. It was that way during the IMAX theater too. All of the 35mm portions were ugly.

Whew, thank you. I have been having a lot of doubts about set lately too because I have been playing black ops 2 for ps3 on it and it also looks blurry but I later read that it looks that way on bigger sets because its essentially 720p upscaled and apparently the ps3 happens to be the worst at upscaling.

BTW I just wanted to add I dont think selling a copy of the bat cowl is necessarily taking advantage of people ignorant of the price. I think most everyone is aware of its retail price but it is sold out afterall. The seller isnt really setting the price on ebay, the buyers are. Maybe the extra 60-100 dollars that bidder is paying is worth it to not miss work and try to get it you know? Im not one to buy up all copies of something to turn around and flip them but I have been guilty of waiting in line for something so that I could either trade it for something I really liked or to sell it for the street value. In these cases it was mostly Nikes.

The way I look at it if anyone in town wanted one they certainly had the opportunity to get one. They've been on the shelf for two days.

the 35mm portions in TDK looked a little better.

Have you watched the Batmobile Doc? The Hi-Def on that should have been the movie.

I'm looking for the UV of this film. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Relax, you did a good job being "that guy". You sold it quick - and lower than a lot of auctions. I might've tried to get more. How are you shipping them, did you get the shipping boxes they came in? With that thin plastic shell they look like they'd be hard to protect. Pity the sellers who don't pack them well and get hit with refund demands if the cowls get crushed.
