My copy of "wages of fear" turned up from amazon. 4 days to Australia is amazing.
Will definitely get a spin this weekend. Can't wait

It often sounds that way
I have a personal rule for myself that I have to be watching what I'm buying or I won't buy more.
I have a spot beside the TV unit where the new purchases go and if I'm not making progress through them, then no more buying for me
As it is, the only discs sitting there now are ones Mrs Drbikeshorts says she wants to watch sometime soon.
There's currently no Criterions there, but when my B&N and Amazon purchases turn up I'll be set for a few months

Whoa!
I usually have to wait about three weeks for Amazon to get them to me in Melbourne.
Barnes & Noble typically take four weeks to three months to never

This is so weird. I once sent a letter to Penthouse that started exactly like that.

Hopefully we get some of the announced films and I'm sure (by now) we'll get another Eclipse set (it's been what? three months?).

Haha. She is around her late 60s.

Now lets hope my copies of "days of heaven", "last temptation of Christ" and "night of the hunter" turn up next week

Yeah, but I bet it didn't end as good as receiving a box of Criterion blu-rays

OH YES that would be too perfect for one month to handle.

Well, that reminds me I'm kinda guilty of it at the moment because I still have to watch Genocide before tucking that Shochiku set away on my shelf..it's been sitting out for a while now. Which brings me to ask...what's everyone's opinions on the individual films? I'm interested in other opinions now that I've (almost completely) watched them.

Especially one of those boxes from B&N that they mess up and throw in five extra things you didn't actually order.

Today I received my order of Solaris in the mail. Should I be concerned that it didn't have a blue circle sticker on the outside? It was shrink-wrapped (but the wrapping seemed a little bit loose/baggy). ?? Other than that, it seems to look fine ... from the outside anyway.

That's a good rule, but I buy when something goes on sale, regardless of whether or not I have a backlog. I'd rather get it cheaper and have it sit than pay more later.

Obviously that pissed me off quite a bit, but I decided to accept it and be patient. So what did I finally receive a couple of days ago? 7 of 8 CC's. Purple Noon, the reason my entire order was delayed until Dec. 4, was not included and wasn't even on the slip in the box! Luckily, I got in on ordering it from Amazon while it's on sale.

Does B&N do crap like that often?

It's only the 3rd time I've ordered anything from them.
I had the same issue just with different titles. I made the order at the beginning of the sale and I'm still waiting for Brazil to be shipped.

be nice
