This behemoth has finally arrived in our inventory system at Best Buy/Magnolia, although not in stock yet. I will keep you guys posted when it comes in, I am excited to see it

also, if you wouldnt mind maybe checking what your employee price is on that bad boy, i know i would GREATLY appreciate it. i had a few friends working at best buy's that have picked up the majority of the stuff in my sig. for me, but have since quit and moved on. so if you dont mind doing that, that would be awesome. then i can maybe look to make a few new friends that work at my local best buy/magnolia. ha. if not, no worries. i'll just have to keep finding stuff to pawn and sell so i can afford one outright!

Don't know the BB employee price, but it appears there are several dealers willing to sell them for ~$1,800+shipping. It's calling my name.........

I would actually think about that, but its not even in stock yet anyways. This company is cutting everyones hours back, so anyway to get back at them would be worth it, and make a little on the side.

wowzers. thats a good margin. denon stuff usually tends not to have that big of a discount. sheesh. looks like i'm gonna have to sweet talk some best buy ladies....or............guys.......... and try to get my hands on one of those bad boys.

i dont think you'll be able to find one for a little while here.

when they do finally hit stores consistently, any best buy with magnolia home theater should carry them. i havent done any searches yet, but im assuming you'll be able to pick them up from a plethora of online dealers as well.

denon website says shipping february. so it should be soon that you start seeing them in stock and on shelves.

My store has Magnolia's most expensive stuff, EX: 70" Samsung LCD, so if any Magnolias carry the player, we will. I think it will be reserved as a special order only item though, I doubt we will display or stock it.

special order wouldnt surprise me. that would be a real bummer though, as i often enjoy just going in to magnolia from time to time to revel in the glory of some of they toys i wish to buy. haha. this denon 3800 being one of those toys.

my guess though is that one of the magnolias here in minnesota will have it on display somewhere though. best buy head quarters is like 20 minutes away from my house and theres a massive best buy right across the street that is the guinea pig for all of best buys new ideas, products and stores. our best buy here was the first one with the new music section of the store that sells guitars and drums and all.

either way, wishful thinking i guess. ha

Just ordered one from ABT, who has them in stock. ~$50 more than the best price I could get, but I chose to do that since they're a well-regarded retailer (and an authorized dealer). I'll have it Friday.

soundvideo.com and J&R are receiving some in the next couple of days and both are authorized dealers. As of this morning, J&R was slightly beating the ABT price. Steve at soundvideo will only quote by phone but folks familiar with them indicate they'll be competitive. Good luck!
