Thumbs up

I'm pretty much interested in everything that's in the March slate besides the Bresson film. Big win month.

Badlands will be a definite purchase for me. Haven't seen any of the others, but The Blob, and A Man Escaped definitely sound worth the blind buys. I'll definitely be looking into all of them though.

Weird, it's the only one I am even looking to pick up from this announcement.

Glad Criterion is getting into video games with the Blimp upgrade.

I love Mallick, but I haven't seen Badlands. I have seen all the films after that though...
I wonder if I should buy it..

i wonder if the Colonel Blimp will be a differenet transfer from the UK blurays that have been released recently.

I disagree. It harkens back to a '50s pulp crime novel, which is what the film is at its core.

I think the artist was going for a Pulp Novel look

Easily one of their best months ever. I will happily buy all six.

These March releases just flat-out rule.

I can't really recall a month where I wanted every single title announced. Wowww.

March is going to be the best month ever! I think I'll have to get all of these, though I'll wait for a sale.

I traded away my copy of Mouchette since I hated it and I'm not sure I'd be ready to blind buy another one of his films.

None of these are immediate buys for me...eventual buys, maybe...but not too excited.

Badlands, Ministry of Fear and The Blob are definites and I'll probably have a fairly easy time talking myself into the Chaplin and Bresson.

Blimp is the only one I'm really 'meh' toward and that's only based on watching the first fifteen or so minutes on TCM so who knows.

Only thing of interest to me is Badlands if it has lots of supplements. Cover art is among the weakest in Criterion History though,...No thanks to the rest of the titles.

People with even more time on their hands than us (than we?) will try various combinations of urls to try to stumble across individual release pages at the Criterion site before they are 'live'.

Finding that many using that method seems a little unlikely but who knows.
