One quesiton. When you say disconnect all the cables are you suggesting to disconnect all of the speaker wires as well? That will be a bit of a pain.

Yes I was referring to disconnecting all cables inc. speaker cables, as you said, it probably will be a pain, but its worth a try. By the way, how do you send the audio to the receiver? Over HDMI as bitstream?
