There would be no incentive for Sanchez to restructure his deal and there's no way for the Jets to restructure his deal to lessen the cap hit they'd take if he were cut. Sanchez is guaranteed $8.25 million next year and got an $8 million signing bonus last year, so Sanchez' cap hit for next season would be over $14.6 million next year if he were cut due to his guaranteed base salary and the acceleration of his signing bonus. I can't realistically see a scenario where Sanchez isn't on the team next year because there's nobody that would trade for Sanchez and the cap hit the Jets would take is too expensive to cut him. I'm not saying Sanchez will definitely be the Jets starter next year, just that he'll be on the roster.

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman's appeal for his 4-game suspension for PED use will be heard Friday. Sherman reportedly tested positive for Adderall. Sherman has denied ever taking Adderall and is reportedly going to argue their were flaws in the testing process. Regardless of what Sherman argues it's almost certain he'll lose the appeal because the NFL CBA makes it nearly impossible to win an appeal on PED use. The only real question is when Sherman's suspension will begin. Adam Schefter of ESPN thinks he'd start serving the suspension immediately and miss the Seahwaks Sunday night game vs. the 49ers, while Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk doesn't believe a decision would happen until after the 49ers game. Assuming Sherman loses the appeal his suspension will carry into the playoffs and Sherman won't be eligible for the Pro Bowl.

Tebow has to be even worse than everyone thinks if the Jets keep playing Sanchez. If you can't get a shot on the Jets right now you're never going to be an NFL starting QB.

There are teams out there that would start him if they had him. Like Kansas City.

I don't think this is true due to the money situation with Sanchez and the stubbornness of people in the organization.

Yep, it had been reported by numerous people earlier that Rex was leading towards starting McElroy and he confirmed McElroy will start at his press conference. I honestly think he's bypassing Tebow because he fears that Tebow would do well and make it harder to cut him after the season. Rex didn't want Tebow in the first place and if Tebow led them to wins in their final games it's possible Woody Johnson would force Rex to make Tebow the starter going into next season or fire Rex and bring in a coach that would tailor an offense for Tebow.

It's probably Alex Smith, neither of those top 10 picks were worth it. People do say replace Romo but he's probably better than 2/3 of the QBs in the league, even if he is fading a bit and my age.
