Watch him shoot down the glass door. The next shot is him driving around in a completely different place, then it goes back to him driving through the glass door he shot down in the previous shot. TERRIBLE editing...

Unless he went through the first glass door and up a tunnel leading to the mall, and then through another glass door and into the mall.

It's not terrible editing, it's your terrible eyes :P The editing is good, and he's not changing places.

That green lighted place he's riding at 1:43 is visible behind the first glass door (look at the lamps on the ceiling, they;re visible in both shots), and the second glass door he's riding through at 1:46 are also at 1:43.

Exactly. He went from outside, through a teal-lit tunnel leading to the brown-lit mall. That's all clear to me.

There's the scene with Bane asking for Miranda to come with him, then the scene were Bruce talks with Fox and Miranda and then the scene with Bruce asking where Miranda is even though he was just with her.

The highlight of TDK for me was the chase sequence when they pulled the music. I thought the lack of music really brought the scene alive.

I was hoping we would get another sequence like that in TDKR. You can imagine how thrilled I was after seeing that fight.

The score can really make or break a scene, but pulling the music in these two moments really felt immersive and brilliant.

Because they didn't show it as one take. The fact that it's chopped can be confusing, so I get why it would look off, but it looks pretty clear to me based on the lighting, which if you look ahead in the shots, matches the following cuts.

I just think it looks kinda confusing because you see an exterior shot of him shooting down a glass door, with people on the other side, then it goes to another shot of him driving down a vacant walkway, then it goes to an interior shot of him shooting down what looks like the previous glass door he shot down, where we see him driving past those people we saw in the exterior shot. If that makes any sense haha.

Oh well, it's probably just the way it's chopped up, like you said. As much as I honestly love the film, I still don't think it's very fluid editing though.

It looks off because the lighting/brightness is completely different. I don't have the ability to view your video frame by frame (you couldn't clip it down to just the part you were talking about? ), so I had to keep stopping and going back. If you do that you'll see in the briefest glimpse just before Batman fires for the first time, that the scene beyond the door is not the mall - and you can also see that it's someone greenish. It's definitely a "hallway" before the mall entrance. It's the change in lighting that makes it look off.

When watching the movie there was a lot of distortion in the left and right channels in the action scenes, when music is playing and when bane was talking it sounds like someone blowing on a mic. I tested my system by turning off the bass and turning the volume down but the static was still there.

My system was on volume lvl 20 out of 50, So I know I did have the volume too loud to cause this (the movie still sounded loud as hell)

So has anyone else had this problem??

Clipping, it's the original soundtrack design. That's one of the main reasons why I'm not a fan of the soundtrack. And definitely not worth the 5 star rating.

I am happy this is the case, cause now I know my speakers are not damaged

It was hard enough trying to hear bane speak at the show, now more so at home. At times it was hard to hear people talking because of this and loud bass.

Does any one know why they chose to do this??

I had none of these problems. It seems to be an intermittent problem effecting a certain, low % (?) of folks. No one's posted explaining why. I'll be rewatching the Trilogy over break - maybe it'll happen to me then.

Mind you it was only at a few parts of the film, from the most part voices were clear, but there was still clipping in the left and right speakers.

The movie is mixed really loud. I don't know why they did it like that.

They need a lesson from Greg Russell on how to keep volume levels and dynamics even:

I agree - its obnoxious. Im sure it appeals to the "cool man, feel the walls shake, dude" crowd but people looking for accurate, quality sound will be a little put off. I almost had to put it on mute to make it reasonable.

Not quite. Bane tells his man to "bring her" to him, and he does. The next scene show Miranda meeting with Fox and Bruce. This is clearly designed to raise a red flag about her, especially when you watch it a second time. Because it means that she was brought to Bane, they spoke (most likely about their plans and next moves), and then she went back to join Fox.

Then, after meeting with Fox and Miranda, Wayne leaves with Fox to get his batsuit and other gear. When he reunites with Gordon in his batsuit, it's not clear how much time has passed since he last saw Miranda. So him asking where Miranda is is legitimate. He wasn't "just with her."

Thank you for posting this response this is always something that has been brought up in regards to this movie since July. I think that people who complain about this scene either haven't watched much television/movies or thought the time in this movie was in real time.
