Do those titles show up on UVVU.com as SD and HD? I see that both CinemaNow and Vudu don't have either of those titles available to own in HD. Which might be the reason why they only come across as SD.

I thought that as well. If that's the case then why offer them as HD when converting though?

True. On the positive side if they show up as SD and HD on UVVU.com when and if they are offered on CinemaNow and Vudu in HD then you'll automatically have access to the HD version. However, I understand not wanting to pay for HD when it's not currently available.

^ To add to my last post, I don't want to see CinemaNow get rid of the HD option if it doesn't have the HD available. In some cases, CinemaNow only has an SD version available but Vudu has an HD version available. Based on my trials purchasing the HD version still got me the HD version on Vudu even though CinemaNow doesn't have that option available on their site.

Since CinemaNow doesn't know what other UV merchants have available maybe they should just have a popup to inform the customer that the HD version is currently not available on CinemaNow but allow the customer to choose whether to continue or not with the purchase.

Even that would be better than charging for HD and THEN finding out you only get the SD version.

On another note, I just got this in my e-mail

That's why I always double check both sites to make sure it's currently available to own in HD. If neither site has it available in HD then I skip the title for right now.

That doesn't always work though. I converted 40 Year Old Virgin and Wizard of Oz and both are available as HD on both sites, but I only got SD when I paid for HD.
