I’ve been around these forums for a while now and have especially enjoyed looking through the home theater galleries to see what people are doing with their setups (and how they’re doing it). Finally, I decided it was time to create my own thread primarily so that I could do two things:
1) Keep a record of my journey through the lands of home audio & video. 2) Share that journey with you guys! Some of my updates/purchases/additions may be small, but hopefully someone out there will get just a little bit of value, insight, or enjoyment out of them. Regardless, thanks for stopping by. Welcome seems strange since you have been a member for so long, but it's great you started a thread in the Galleries portion.
Are you ok with criticism of your setup? Looking at the couple pics you provided, I see it’s not a dedicated theater, but from what I can see, it’s a great look room. ![]() |

You're right, it's not a dedicated theater (I don't have a big enough place for that yet), but I'm always looking to make improvements. I'm actually in the process of finding a larger plush rug to help with some of the sound reflectivity. |

Just a little bit... Naa, who am I kidding? I'm that guy who sees them every single time they're around and buys all the albums and Blu-rays on day one. |

Constructive ?, did you say constructive!! Ahh Man, that wouldn’t be any fun, if it was only constructive criticism. J/k
I just have to say, you should spread those speaker further apart from the TV. Having a wider soundstage gives a better effect when watching movies. Spreading them apart and having them slightly towed inward is great for music also. I’ll let someone else comment on getting acoustic panels for your sound reflection issues. Only reason I’m not saying anything, is because I haven’t done it yet, and I need to do it. |

Welcome to the HT Galleries section of our forum Prox! Glad you decided to join us here, and your system and room look like a wonderful place to chill and take in some movies or listen to some tunes. Nice!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
As I mentioned in my first post, one of my goals here is to chronicle my updates. I recently decided to add a two-channel setup in my basement and I made some minor upgrades to my equipment. If you're interested, there are pics and some additional info in my new gallery folder. |
