The Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney. I'm on it.

Not a huge Lil Mermaid fan, but of course I'll have to get it.

It is my number one favourite too. This Blu-ray has been my most wanted since I began collecting 2 and a half years ago. I am counting down the days.

Was my fav when I was little, watched it on DVD a couple of months ago & couldn't sit through the singing. I don't know what it is, but I just can't stand listening to the music in Disney movies now. I just fast forward through the musical parts. lol

Don't worry, you'll grow out of that phase, too.

To be honest, I never watched the full film til I purchased the Platinum, we gave my aunt's family our vhs copy (I was like 3-5) but I was familar with the characters due to us owning a sing along that promoted Lil Mermaid.

Once I finaly watched the film, I loved the characters' interaction/motives. Under The Sea is quite a catchy tune, in spirit of the fun Disney songs (Zip A Dee Doo Dah, Follow The Leader, Hakuna Mata'ta)

I loved the idea of Ursula bein Triton's sis, though if they went with that idea and Lion King came, we'd have 2 villains tryin to over rule their Brothers' kingdom,

As I mentioned in Pan's Thread, We might get a CinExplore bonus and possibly a featurette bout Walt's Lil Mermaid (which has a sad ending)

In the original film, Ursula isn't related to Trtion, all we know is that - like Satan - she used to be part of Triton's palace and kingdom, and is now banished. She functions in the film lke Satan - a temptress who claims souls, and she even lives near lava vents.

Yeah.... I really won't, I've been doing it for years. Even on the rare occasions I go see a new Disney film in theaters, I make sure I have my iPod just in case it ends up having singing in it.

Didn't Disney make a treasure chest for the Pirates trilogy?? Hopefully something different than a treasure chest.

Yep.

Considering that both are major releases, I doubt they'd do something so similar for The Little Mermaid.

I'll probably get yelled at from the steelbook experts but the only difference that I see between the three are the spines.

I think Disney will do something different. Maybe a seashell like one of the members posted yesterday or an oyster shell.

Wow, my thoughts are still right (they aren't special to me). That was me who said the seashells, I don't want to take credit or be selfish (no pun intended) about it, I was just a littled shocked when you replied to me and then mentioned me

I wouldn't have said anything if I wasn't the one you were talking to! I feel real selfish now and I feel worse that you because of this!

Excited to see this just like I was when The Lion King 3D was going to be in theaters. Not so much exciment when B&TB 3D got released cause I bought the blu-ray a few months before and have the Platinum Edition as well. But I still went to see it anyway.

Hopefully it's rumors about the 3D and Blu-ray getting release on the same day. Because it will hurt the 3D release when people can actually go and buy the movie instead. Then Disney going to wonder why it didn't do so well in theaters. I think this is what hurt B&TB because people already bought the blu-ray a few months ago.

You must face the age of not believing, doubting everything you ever knew -- until at last you start believing there's something wonderful in you.

American Pie:

Jim: Did you see 'The Little Mermaid' on TV yesterday? Ariel, she's so hot!
Oz: She's a mermaid dude.
Jim: Yeah, but not when she's on land, Oz.
