I used "good gone" with a paper towel (dry-no water) then used a t-shirt to try to remove the "goo gone"

Any other ideas?

I used goo gone and ruined 2 slips probably by rubbing a Tad hard (which was not hard at all more of a wipe) I immediately went back to lighter fluid which in 20yrs never damaged a single item from action figures, vinyl and movies.
