Default About time Paramount and Universal got their backsides into gear!

I mean for god's sake, how difficult is it to make a few statements and announce a few titles, even if it's only Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 we can expect this or that.

Get your act in order, you've already screwed consumers over on both sides of the fence, stop acting like you hold all the card's and can screw around consumers at will.

Shape up or you'll have a crumbling DVD business on your hand's and no Blu-ray cash cow to milk us with, ONCE AGAIN!

I am also waiting for specific title announcements. It is frustrating to wait for "the official word".

Why tell us? or are you just venting frustration? Why not email them directly with your sentiments, might be more effective! [Jim]

Since when have Paramount ever listened to their customers. I agree some announcement with regards to titles should have been made at this stage. Most annoucements are made 3 and 4 months in advance of release so if they are planning to have anything out for say July they really need to start annoucing titles now.

At least the OP didn't ask for Transformers.

Mods, please delete this thread (or fold it into an older one).

Yeah, I think Paramount and Universal are just trying to get titles and a proper press release together before announcing anything.

Rumor is though..Bee Movie on Blu-ray has already been made and out to some places awaiting further instruction.

Yeah, many months ago then they took it back.

As I have stated before, this war was good for something. Without it, we would have the HD DVD version of the movie converted over for blu-ray. Thus "the Warner Effect" as I call it. For a "neutral" supporter Paramount sure leaned toward HD DVD.

But the switch over meant they never gave us that recycled crap. Director Michael Bay is well aware of this and plans to be very involved in the new BD release. Imaginethe quality of Disney's Cars, only with Transforming robots.

Hey everyone - I caught up this weekend with a friend who actually works at Paramount and he told me that by "year end", all the titles that everyone is lusting after should be out. He also indicated that the warehouses are full
of those titles that were pulled back in August. Not sure why the delay. Unless
his "year end" statement meant throughout the remainder of 2008.
Hoping he is going to surprise me with a "gift" soon.

Transformers in HD DVD is pretty fantastic.

I would be surprised (pleasantly) if they do anything but a direct transfer.
