Default Bluray cases

Didn't really know where to put this. A mod can move it to a proper location if you like.

Where's the best place to buy bluray cases? I looked at sleeve city but it seems they only have 1 selection of the single BD cases. There are 2 versions of single BD cases. 1 with the bluray logo physically etched on, and another where it's flushed with the case. I need the flushed one.

Basically the difference between a sony and a universal case. I need the universal one.

Best Buy has Dynex cases, 10 for $12.99. It's cheaper to order the cases from one of the above sites, but the Dynex cases are an option if you want to see them before you buy them. I bought the Dynex cases before I found out about the above links.

It's worth noting that the Dynex cases are double-disc cases, but they look almost identical to the standard single-disc cases. When I have replaced bad single-disc cases after buying movies from used stores, I simply put the single disc movie package into the double-disc Dynex, and it looks pretty much the same (although the Dynex cases are slightly thicker than the originals).

For those in Canada looking for cases, I would recommend blankmedia.ca . Purchased about 100 plus bluray (half single, half double) a while back to replace the thick Blu-Ray cases that Rogers Video used for the 70 or so Blus I bought during the closing sale.

For a total of 56 single and 56 double cases I paid around 80 cents each shipped, not too shabby.

They also sell cases for Xbox (green and purple that are used for Kinect games), PS3 and Wii.

Having extras around is great when you buy used. I have also used quite a few to replace retail cases that had shrink wrap stuck to the spine.

I used them as well, they have really good prices, although shipping is REALLY expensive. I ordered 100 blu-ray cases for $26.95 and 100 DVD cases for $18.95 but shipping was expensive $31.34, and they charged HST (12%) on top of shipping as well so the shipping costs made up just over 40% of my total cost.

Agreed the shipping is pretty crazy, but in most cases it still comes out as a good deal when all was said and done. Unfortunately I haven't found too many stores that ship to Canada.

On a side note, they also sell protective sleeves which work great for Blu-Ray steelbooks. Got a pack of a 100 for $15 shipped. It was $3.95 with $8 shipping. Crazy? Yes. However, in comparison the same sleeves were selling on ebay for $8 plus shipping. In the end, the prices were about equal, difference being I know I am getting quality.

Of course, if I can find the same thing somewhere else cheaper, I would definitely do it. I am always worried about being dinged with custom fees and cheap knockoffs.

I was happy with them, don't get me wrong. Just wished I lived nearby and can pick it up for $2 instead. They are pretty transparent about their shipping and give you plenty of options, so I'm not holding that against them. Just kinda sucks that almost half of what I'm paying for is shipping. I am looking at placing another order in the next couple of months.

Micro Center often has sales on Blu Ray cases. They're cheaply made, but at $5 for 10, you can't beat it (if you have a store near you). I looked into buying some from some of the sites above, but shipping is outlandish in my opinion. Makes it not worth it.

it truly amazes me how we can't seem to get things like this here in Canada for a decent price. Shipping, even without customs, seems to turn any good deal into a so-so one. Why is there no company in Canada selling stuff like this? it all comes from China anyways.

+1... I've made it a point to go to MicroCenter whenever I have to go to Atlanta and pick up a box or 2... Not to mention the great prices they have on all other sorts of stuff...

I think they're 12mm spines. I like these (but not the price) as they're sturdier than most, including ones I got from eBay or SleeveCity.

I wish I could find somewhere cheaper to buy them..I've looked hard.
