1. Is your player set to output 1080p? Check the setup menu to be sure it's selected correctly.

2. Is your TV truly 1080p compatible? Is there a menu setting that allows you to tell the TV what input resolution to recognize? You'll be able to tell if it is working once you've set the player correctly. The TV "display" button should bring up the input signal resolution and read 1080p while a BD is playing.

Once you have these answered, it'll be easier to go from there.
