after seeing the Ravens do essentially the impossible, i have a little more hope in seeing the Texans upset the Patriots. and i really don't want to watch the Patriots get to another Super Bowl just to lose

could be another great day to see the Texans and my Seahawks advance to the Championship games. could still be a Texans vs Seahawks Super Bowl!

actually, I disagree with you. Alex Smith was to be blamed as well. He was 1 for 13 in 3rd down conversion. He overthrew receivers, miss open wide receivers, etc. Watch the game again, and you'll see why the coach and staff knew they needed a better QB. If Smith had played better, then our 2 turnovers would have been a mute point. I recall that game very well because I almost threw my remote at the TV due to Smith incapable at QB during that day. There is no denying that Alex had one of his worst game. Anyhow, time to move on.

A Smith is a decent QB, but he blew his chance in going to the SB last year.

Yes Kaepernick played great today I'm not denying that, best of luck to him next week but Smith isn't the one that cost the 49ers the NFC Title game last year so he's a pretty good player too given the chance.

The problem is that Alex Smith doesn't like to take risk in throwing long passes or he misses open receivers...so he gets sack or scrambles for yardage and get concussion. He doesn't like to turn it over with interception. I have watched all of Alex Smith game...and it was quite frustrating at most times. You do remember why we boo him before Jim Harbaugh came right?

He had a concussion, and he was not ready for the second week. He did have a shot to win his job back, but Kaep won it instead during practice.

u'd think after the 1st 150 yards rushing that Capers would've put a spy on Kaepernick or something!!!

Green Bay's defense of the read option was some of the worst I have ever seen. They just let him run by them all game long. With Denver out of the playoffs, I expect the pursuit of Mike McCoy to really heat up in the next few days. He's one of the best offensive minds in the game.

unless Peyton was hurt or wasn't comfortable throwing the ball because of the cold, his stock certainly did not increase after yesterday's game. there were several puzzling calls all game. even the announcers were wondering why they were running 1 yard rushes right up the middle on 3rd and 5+

either way he is still very impressive and with so many teams still needing a HC, he'll find a new place to call home soon.

I was shocked yesterday to see Denver lose and was happy to see the 49ers beat the Packers. Now today will there be another upset? Here's my picks for todays games:

Upset:

Seattle goes into Atlanta and beats the Falcons. (Big Upset!!!)
The Patriots beat the Texans in a very close game

AFC Championship game:
Ravens Vs Patriots. (Pats Win.)
Seattle Vs 49ers. (49ers Win)

Superbowl Prediction:

Pats beat the 49ers in over time to win their 4th Superbowl title under Bill Belicheck.

Now lets see if I am right......god only knows I was wrong about the Denver game yesterday.

Brady will go down as the best qb if he wins one more, he'll at least match the other 4 ring guys and he'll have a record 6 appearances

if he loses... then he'll go from a perfect 3-0 to .500 in super bowls could playing well enough to reach the super bowl but losing hurt anyone's legacy? it could for Brady

it's just crazy to think that brady could've had 5 by now if it weren't for 2 miracle catches

Unlike little brother Eli, Peyton Manning has often struggled in big postseason games. Yesterday was no exception.

Seriously! I kept making cracks throughout the game that they were supposed to study Kaep tapes, not Smith/week 1 tapes. I love the Packers, but they deserved that loss especially considering it only got worse after the half, no adjustments, NOTHING (or if they did make any adjustments, I sure as he!! couldn't see it). Einstein's definition of insanity suits the way they played last night.

Apparently the usually late arriving Atlanta fans are already getting loud in the Dome. That and the jetlag could mean trouble for Seattle early. And then the Dome will only get louder.
