Yeah, it's really not that bad. I'm going to get hit hard in February though. I think I have 5 preorders from Amazon coming out that month.

I'm sure Evictors will be a SD extra on the BD of Town.

"The Town that Dreaded Sundown" and "The Evictors" will be on the top of my list of Scream Factory titles. I was most excited for TTDS!

I'd say my 2nd most anticipated title would be "Night of the Comet"!

The only 3 titles I'm nervous won't be blu-rays are
The Godsend, X-Ray, and Schizoid.

If I had to chose one to make it to BD it would be "X-Ray".
But I won't be picky since TTDS will be BD!
Thanks again!

For THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN you guys probably couldn't get any Special Features due to death or unwillingness to cooperate, but for THE EVICTORS maybe you could or have already gotten Jessica Harper. Maybe get it in good with her and she could persuade her husband to sub-out PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE to you guys, since he was iffy about it before.

I'm still trying to get PHANTOM from Fox

2 quick questions for Cliff and they're kinda Shout! related...

1) Are there going to be more aquisitions from Paramout, like "The Duallist", for either Shout or Scream?

2) Is there anyway that you can put out BDs of the Casper films (Casper, Casper: a spirited beginning, and Casper meets Wendy) from Dreamworks?

Thanks

A featurette on the real-life 'Phantom Killer' would be a nice extra, and/or a retrospective on Pierce's directorial career.

Would like to see someone release the Casper films but I thought these were owned by Universal, Sony, and Fox, respectively?

1. No, the library went to Warner for three years
2. I don't think so

They are Dreamworks now, they aquired Classic Media, so they got a good chunk of animated series, films, and some live action 80's and 90's family movies from multiple companies.

Do you know if "April Fool's Day" or "My Bloody Valentine" which are Paramount got sent to Warner Bros.?

I know Lionsgate got them for a short period, but I'm not sure if they still have them. It would be awesome if you could get your hands on them.

I think Lionsgate lost their Paramount titles, because Olive aquired "The Monster Squad" recently. Maybe you guys could snag some too. Unless Olive has more that just that one, and you have some 'inside' knowledge Cliff??...

Olive acquired MONSTER SQUAD from the Republic library, which their deal with LionsGate expired.

I would assume Warner had those. Monster Squad is part of the Republic library.

Yeah, Monster Squad is Republic. I'm not so sure that the 2 before-mentioned movies are with Warner. Their deal only included 700 films, and I'm sure Paramount has well over that many, and I wouldn't think Warner would have any intrest in those flicks. Then again, I could be wrong. The only fact we know is that 700 is the approximate number of films Warner got from Paramount for a 3 year period...

Well, technically while Dreamsworks did acquire the Classic Media catalog (which will now go by the name Dreamworks Classic) many of the properties will warrant them merchandise and distribution rights only since many of properties from that library already have pre-existing deals for films such is the case with Disney's "The Lone Ranger". I'm willing to bet that Dreamworks Classic will strategically use Disney's release as way to cash in big in the form of merchandise and releases of "The Lone Ranger" cartoon on DVD, etc. In addition, a major selling point in this deal was the lucrative profits that come around the holiday season from the television broadcasts of titles like "Frosty the Snowman".

For $155 million, it was a steal of an acquisition for Dreamworks. The wealth of classic characters they obtained will now give them so much to work with if they choose to draft their own features films / television series based on any of these properties. As a matter of fact, Dreamworks Animation already has a "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" film in production which looks very promising. Regardless, whether they develop their own material from these titles or reap the merchandise/distribution profits, this is a win-win for them.

Now that makes me quite happy. I was getting worried there for a second...

I wouldn't be opposed to that, but I'd REALLY like to see her participate in some extras for a Scream Factory release of Suspiria (yeah, I know it probably won't happen, but I can dream)...
