You going "grill-less"? Did they arrive intact?

They arrived intact, no damage at all. I have the grills on, probably going to leave them that way. My son is really good about not touching things, but if the drivers are covered, even less of a chance of him touching.

I've got an electrician coming Sunday to add two outlets on their own 20 amp circuit for the subs. Didn't have that before, but thought it would be a good idea now, mad now I know I need it. . Should have done it in the first place, but I could write a book on what I "shoulda done" with this theater. Tried to crank it up once tonight and my amp went into protection mode, so I don't want to push it. Guess I'm gonna have to wait a few more days before I can really see what these things can do. The little bit I heard was impressive, can't wait to really push them though. It's gonna be a fun couple of weeks.

Hindsight is always 20/20...story of my life too! My wife decided to vacuum a few times while I have been rocking out...doesn't take long to blow the fuse. You will be better off in the end. I am sure even at -20 to -30 you will still get some good bass for now. Just consider it a breaking in process for the subs.

That's a good way to look at it. It's just hard to stop myself from really cranking these things. If I ever do this again in a new house, I think I'll get it right. This has been a work in progress, 4 years and counting, and I'm getting really close to being done upgrading, at least for a few months. I'll post some pics of the basement theater/bar area soon.

I'm know its not a perfect set-up, but we love it. I should have some time over the weekend to take some pics. Just a little info, 104" Carada screen, Sony 95 projector, Denon 3311 and emotiva XPA 3, golden ear sat 50's LCR, and sat 3's for surrounds (4), and dual XS30's for subs. Two rows, four chairs each, 8 total. Plus a bar with tv and 5.1 surround too. Sorry I really love it, don't mean to brag

It's not bragging, we come here because of our passion for the hobby that others wouldn't understand.

Your HT sounds awesome.

Any reason you chose the XS30 over the XV30?

LOL, room looks nice and I spy a DM poster in the background That was our sons (3yr old) favorite movie for a while, you know how that goes. He always wants to go into the "fancy garage" to watch a movie, lol.

Thanks. Size was the reason, couldn't fit it under the screen.

Thanks. I like the Goldenears, I did listen to the Triton Two's and liked them, but decided to go with the Supersat 50's, for size reasons. I am interested in the Supersat 60's when they come out.

Yes, Despicable Me, Cars, Nemo etc...we rotate often. He always wants to go in the basement to watch a movie. He's an audio nerd in training

Just a few more hours Crazykat, how are you handling the wait today? I sat looking out the window most of the afternoon just waiting for the truck to pull up. My wife was making fun of me for doing that, I told her I didn't want the driver to ring the doorbell and wake our son up from his nap early. She didn't buy it
