Here are a new first wave of UK Double Feature films with slipcovers from Warner Bros and Paramount Home Video.

In my opinion these are the first stages of the blu ray being thrown in the bargain bin. . Some of these awful asda double packs make me sad. Lol.

The Paramount ones actually looks half decent. Having the artwork blend like that instead of just a sharp border like most other two or triple packs

This always happens, though - once a format has been around long enough, the 'double pack' or 'triple pack' is a classic method of re-releasing old discs at a budget price. They did it with DVD, hell, they even did it with VHS!

Even more disturbingly, they've never sussed a better way to do the cover art in 30+ years of home video.

I don't think they are exclusive to asda, they are widely available, here are another 2.

V For Vendetta/Constantine and Police Academy 1,2

i dont mind these too much. only the same as the US triple and double feature sets.
it saves a bit of shelf space, and for some films its the first time they have a slip.
im hoping for a few more to crop up like this tbh.
i would love fox to do something similar, with slips.
