Nectar is the creation of Sainsbury (and BP) so they could just be disentangling themselves from what they may see as a competitor, they may be thinking of their own points scheme (Play did) which i think would be a winner. How Amazon use or misuse their dominant position will be interesting, Amazon was built on a model of long term expansion through high turnover and low profit. It'll be worth watching Amazon's profit figures and share price which hasn't done anything spectacular this week.
