Brady is top three easily. Montana is 4-0 in superbowls but there was three straight one and done seasons between the second and third superbowl including 1987 where they were 13-2, Montana and Rice were all-pro and they had the #1 offense and #3 defense. Don't forget that.

Aikman I kid I kid. Although his numbers and record are pretty good in the playoffs.

I still have to go with Montana. Perfect SB record and no INT's in the Super Bowl I believe. That's about as good as it gets for me.

Montana and Brady have to be 1-2 at this point in NFL history.

Even though Peyton is the greatest QB I've ever seen, from an overall body of work Brady is the greatest QB of alltime.

Peyton's the best regular season quarterback I have ever seen, but his postseason play leaves a lot to be desired.

Sometimes Peyton in the playoffs reminds me of Shane Falco from beginning of The Replacements (Hey, it is BD.com after all) where he plays it too safe by handing the ball off in big situations instead of taking over the game like he does in the regular season.

I bet if you swapped Brady onto those steeler teams/ 9ers teams he'd be undefeated too.

He's really not even the best Colts QB of all-time. Johnny Unitas was as great in his era as Peyton today. Yes, Unitas's passing numbers don't look as good on paper, but he didn't have the absurdly pro-passer rules when he played as QB's of today.

Peyton Manning with the Colts:
154-70 regular season record as starter
198 TD's passing
1 Championship

Johnny Unitas with the Colts:
117-61 regular season record as starter
287 TD's passing
3 Championships

Wow.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/88...nnessee-titans

Quote:
Suspended former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has already met with the Tennessee Titans and is on the verge of becoming the Titans' assistant head coach, according to league sources.

Before Williams can finalize a contract with the Titans, however, he first must be reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell -- a move that could come as early as this week.

Should Williams be reinstated, no obstacles are expected on the contractual front, according to sources. The two sides are familiar with each other, with Williams having worked in Tennessee from 1997-2000.

Williams already has met with Titans officials, including head coach Mike Munchak, who is said to be in favor of Williams' addition to the staff, according to sources.

Additionally, former Titans and St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher has endorsed Williams to his former employer. Fisher hired Williams to lead St. Louis' defense this season, but Williams' suspension for his role in the Saints' bounty scandal lasted the entirety of the 2012-13 season. Williams was not retained by the Rams at season's end.

Neither Williams nor his representatives could be reached for comment.

I wouldn't put this on Eli. His receivers have made some insane plays on the receiving end of his passes. The escape part of the Tyree play was great. The throw was awful, which is part of why the Tyree play is so amazing, Tyree caught a ball that was almost uncatchable.

The Giants have been clutch in the Superbowl. Eli is just a part of that.

*EDIT* Cue the guy offended that I think a team is more than just the QB.

I agree with you but it's too bad most Colt fans around hear don't even want to hear this. They don't even acknowledge the Baltimore Colts at all around here which is too bad.

We're never going to know this so why even bother with making this statement. The whole hypothetical thing of putting a player on another team just doesn't work especially in different eras because we don't know how things would have played out. Brady didn't even see the field until Bledsoe got hurt, he needed a tuck rule to even start winning Super Bowls. Does all of this happen if you swap him onto those teams? I don't know that's why it's silly to even go there.

Wow really? Brady is easily better than Peyton and its easy to compare the toe because they played the same era basically. Peyton has had great recievers pretty much his whole career while Brady only had Moss really for 1 year before he started to decline. I wont even bring up playoffs. Now with all this said I know u said Brady is the greatest but I dont get how Peyton is the best u have seen at the same time?? Got Em!!

That is arguable but I will still take Brady even in the regular season especially is u look at who they had to throw to their whole careers. I personally think Elway is the greatest QB of all time. Got Em!!

Yeah Elway put it some work with bums around him.

lol so then its equally not safe to say if Tom Brady had Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison "we don't know what would happen". I think the point of the hypothetical is if Brady had an equal amount of HOF talent throughout his playoff career would/could he be even more successful. So unless one were insane the answer would probably be yes, as seems to be a proven fact when you replace lesser players with better players improvement usually follows (unless your Philly...).

No we don't. The hypothetical stuff doesn't work so why bother. Just go with what each player actually did. You act like Brady played with a bunch of garbage throughout his career. He had some talent on those teams. It's not like he did it all by himself.

In comparison to guys who got hof or pb rbs/wr's yes he had "trash". Other than an over the hill Corey Dillon, and a last leg Randy Moss he's made stars out of average, and above average guys who would have been #2s/#3s on other super bowl teams.

And while yeah they'll never play on the same team, and of course its a hypothetical, people who don't account for such obvious distinctions should be relegated to the other football thread (soccer).

I doubt Brady cares at the end of his career. Dude has a moat around his house.
