They've already changed it from the original prototype. I wouldn't be surprised if they refine it further for the final release.

They need to work on it. I think it is a pretty poor attempt at capturing Chris Hemsworth's likeness.

Yeah the original was pretty off. The newer one looks pretty good though.

Also still have my DX11 Joker on order along with Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Bane. I think after I finish those up the DX07 Luke is next on my list.
Hopefully, Bane will be better compared to the photos released. I mean, I want him to be bulkier than the first photos...

I ordered a knock off True Type style body and a suit from eBay and am going to use it to try my first custom. Going to use the Bale head sculpt from the DX12 set to make a Wayne. There's a guy over on the Sideshow Freaks boards who does custom decals for figure stands. I'm going to get a Hot Toys style stand and see if I can get him to make me a nice decal for the stand to go with the figure. Should be pretty cool.

In truth I actually don't have the complaints a lot of people have about that particular figure. He looks good to me for the most part. His arms could maybe be a bit bigger but he doesn't look terrible. Tom Hardy's portrayal of Bane really wasn't the hulking Bane from the comics and the figure does a decent job at portraying that to me.

To me it looks better having rooted hair on figures with longer hair I guess. Particularly on the female figures. I don't think it would look good if they tried using it on figures with shorter hair though.

Angelica arrived for me yesterday:

The rooted hair is not as awful as it sounds plus this was packed with a lot of care. The cuffs for the shirt were folded down to protect her hands, the head was not only cradled by foam & plastic but the actual head was wrapped in plastic to protect the face & hair.

More photos:

To save myself money this is why I don't care for cloth 1/6 figures. They look too much like dolls.

The hair makes it worse

Saw those new pictures of Bane. He looks better in them than he did in the prototype pictures if you ask me.

This is getting annoying. Hot Toys Black Widow was pushed back for a third time. Now the expected ship date is 2/25.

Bought that Bane for a 7 year old. Asking for trouble really isn't it?

To be completely honest??? Depends on the 7 year old!!!

Odds are pretty high that I would be over a decision like that myself given the price tag.

I can't believe the reflective quality of that shield!

Still not enough to make me order that figure though. I'd be more inclined to order Thor or Loki or Black Widow (in that order) before considering Cap. Personal preference influences everyone this way... unless they are stinkin' rich!

EDIT: I should probably also mention that I already have $700+ tied up in March's release of Iron Man Mark VII and TDK Joker DX 2.0 figures and cannot begin to fathom any other possible orders at this time.

I'll show you his collection some time. I started off buying him the lower level ones - more toys than collectibles. He doesn't play with them though. He eventually asked for a display case.

He now has quite a collection. I'm a little jelous, to be honest. Even though I payed for them.

Woah! 7 years old and disciplined enough to not play with toys?!?!

I would have absolutely trashed a Bane figurine at the age of 12!!!

He loves toys, just not the kind that look valuable. He prefers to play with plastic dinosaurs and things like that.

On another note, does anybody own the Hot Toys Barney Ross? I really like the look of this one.
