Blu-ray Prince

Imagine if 'Crash' wasnt trying to be ABOUT SOMETHING! Rather this film feels very realistic with little histrionics. Somebody help me: I can't remember a score for this film, am I wrong or is it like Carlos in that respect? |

In-store Criterions non-withstanding, Barnes & Noble is the best place in general to buy Blu-rays. It's the only chain store that actually keeps quality Blu-ray movies in stock. From my collection, I've visited Barnes & Noble to purchase King Kong (1933), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Lives of Others, Assault on Precinct 13, River of No Return, Blade Runner, and a few others that most stores have not kept in stock. By contrast, I still have two Upgrade & Save coupons from Best Buy that I have not used yet simply because I already own all of the decent movies that Best Buy has for sale, and, during the past couple of visits, I have not been able to find anything that I want enough to spend money on. I might grab Criterion's The Game with one of the coupons later this week if I have enough cash left over at the end of the month, but that's about it. |

There's really very little incentive to visiting a BN store. Their prices on books are usually higher than Amazon. Their music and blu-rays are often sold at MSRP and to get any kind of deal one has to have a membership which costs $25/year. The only conceivable advantage I can see is someone enjoys the cafe with its chemical-laden coffee and corn-syrup confections. Either that or they're there to sit down, read the newspaper and leave without buying it.

I got through about 80% of it, all that I saw of it was amazing. I was blown away at how wonderful it was. Sometimes you just know. That was high and low for me, I watched it on Hulu and about 20 minutes in, I knew I was watching something magical.

Definitely. I promise you'll absolutely love one of them (maybe 2) and like the third. Don't be too daunted by having to watch them back to back to back (ala Carlos for me), you can take them one at a time.
