Flacco says he wants 20 million $/year, tying him with Drew Brees for highest QB salary.

He better hope the Ravens win the Superbowl, otherwise he's in for a rude, rude awakening.

Even if they win I don't see handing him that kind of money unless it's like 5 million guaranteed with ridiculous incentives.

He would need to be SB MVP in my opinion to even be considered for 17 million let alone 20 million.

He's been great this postseason but Joe Flacco just isn't an elite QB and probably never will be. He's a consistent 20 TD, 10 Int guy every season. That's good but not top-tier, not even close. Though I can see Baltimore badly overpaying with the face of the franchise Ray Lewis about to retire and Ed Reed probably not far off.

I don't know who I want to win I want Ed Reed and Torrey Smith to get a championship, but I also want Randy Moss and VD

Most people think he will close to that, especially if they win the Super Bowl. Harbaugh is in love with him. Worst case scenario, they franchise him.

This scares me. Even with "his" playoff success, Matt Ryan is definitely a better QB. If Flacco is going to get 20 mill...

If he's a 20 million dollar qb, and RG3 comes back healthy with the same or better passing stats, keeps logging division titles, and the popularity. Then he's[rg3] worth 25+ million

He'll be out of the league before his contract comes up if Shanny stays in town.

Shanny will be gone mid season if he runs him like he did again. Snyder will lay the hammer down. He likes money more than he likes Shanny.

Looked it up and these are the top QB salaries of 2012. That would be kinda sad if Flacco ended up making $4mill+ more than Tom Brady. Michael Vick's salary is just ridiculous. Roethlisberger is lower than I figured at 9th highest paid QB.

Drew Brees - $20 mill
Peyton Manning - $19.2 mill
Michael Vick - $16.0 mill
Tom Brady - $15.7 mill
Eli Manning - $15.3 mill

It's going to be a tough decision. It really boils down to does he fit this new defense. If Kiffin says yes then it will be extremely tough to cut him.

I have to assume this is a joke. After the circus this past year the Jets cannot be serious:

Quote:
More recently, after Tannenbaum was let go, members of the organization had some very exploratory, informal discussions regarding former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell, the 2007 No. 1 overall pick who flamed out of the NFL after the 2009 season. Russell recently decided to mount a comeback in hopes of returning to the league next season.
The story also says that during the season the Jets scouted West Virginia’s Geno Smith, Syracuse’s Ryan Nassib and Virginia Tech’s Logan Thomas (who stayed in school), and that they spent time at the Senior Bowl with Mike Glennon of North Carolina State.

Bear with me here. Maybe the Jets are trying to bring in backup QB's so horrificly bad that Mark Sanchez looks good by comparison. It would be hard for Jets fans to advocate benching Sanchez when Tebow and JaWalrus are the backups.

The Rams have "parted ways" with Rob Ryan, after 5 days of employment.

Quote:
@STLouisRams: After extensive conversations regarding defensive philosophy, the Rams and Rob Ryan agreed he was not the right fit for the DC position.
Don't you have those discussions during the interview process?

And since he told a reporter he'd be out of work "for five minutes" after being fired by the the Cowboys, Deadspin kept tally:

Minutes unemployed after Cowboys: 22,987
Minutes employed by the Rams: 6,899
Minutes unemployed after Rams: 53 and counting

Apparently the team never made an "official announcement" and this was just a second meeting with the entire staff.
